The capacitor which you have removed, will that not require replacement? You just removed it completely but not replaced. I am sure there will be some use of that capacitor in phone?
Hello. This was not the only capacitor on this line. This circut will be just fine without it. This is common used practice. If there will be a problem with the phone, customer will come back and i will replace it, but im pretty sure it will be fine. By the way i tried to find replacement for this capacitor and i would need to wait 2 weeks because the only place i could get it is usa and i live in uk.
I think i just buy universal caps with rated voltage 10v all size than buy every caps in android phone 😅 , its makes easier and feel not guilty to customer
Good job. Is that method for checking capacitors the same for all other capacitors on that circuit. As I am getting continuity on a couple other capacitors. Can I just remove the bad capacitors to get the phone operational to get the information off the phone?
@@galusxx1 ok thanks. The amount is about 4 or 5 and in different places. There were two in the same area as yours but they are not next to each other. The thing is they dont look damaged.

awesome video, I have samsung s8+ and it was charging on the charger, the battery reached 100% and I took the phone and it was frozen, after a minute it shuts off and no more signs of life. Find schematics and check if those capacitors are on the same line. Than try to visualy find which one is shorted. Remember that the short could be on the chip. If you got power supply, try to inject 1volt with high aperage into this circut and check with isopropyl what is heating up.
Nice job sir..I had same problem with my s8 but d capacitor that shorted was d bigger one beside this capacitor you removed ..the phone is turning on but it's not charging should I replace the capacitor?
Hello, I attempted to replace the IC controller as the s8 wouldn't charge anymore. @@galusxx1 Thanks for the reply bro. I followed the steps in the manuals and I had all the voltages exactly except for the LCD required voltage. VCC 3.3v and 2.2v were not ok (no voltage). And I know for sure the LCD screen itself is ok. Plz give me advice on that bro.
@@galusxx1 You are right sir, and this step will be difficult for me since I am an Amateur but I will do my best. I think BJT transistors generate these voltages, am I right? Since the VCC line must be connected to the BJT collector pin.

If at least one capacitor will be shorted, all of them on this line will beep. Remove the one that looks broken and test again.

How didi u find the values of capacitor ?
You can find the values on the schematic.
what microscope do you use?? are using USB?? as a live feed??
