The double meaning for "waking me" for spectator is beatiful
You're one of my favorite reactors! Same for AoT. You're really invested in the characters and putting yourself in their shoes. Viewing things from multiple perspectives. It's good to see someone who actually cares for the story. Usually people already have their minds made up, so they don't take different views into account.

This episode hits so freaking hard
The moment where Einar chokes Thornfinn is one of my favorite scenes in this show. Just raw emotion, and after that scene their relationship becomes so much deeper. The writing is just so damn good, you understood where Einars rage is coming from but he also wakes up Thorfinn to what he’s taken for granted. Such an important scene
I still remember still being on the fence about how I would feel about Season 2's rumored lack of action until I watched that barn scene. After watching it, I remember thinking to myself "that might have been the best thing I've seen in a show in long time."
After this episode I was fully on board the Thorfinn trauma recovery arc. Everything just feels so real and faithful to the human condition.
Can't wait for your reactions for the rest of the season, it just gets better and better!

Basically the whole season
Thorfinn has been helped along his life more than once by many other people than just Thors although thats the most selfless and clear example of it. The old English lady you brought up, Leif always trying to get him home and reviving the thought of Vinland, and most contradictingly Askeladd. He definetly kept him alive as a child though for his own purposes. He even tries to make him let go of his hate and continue living In the finale of s1.
Loving the reaction's Swan, if you're nearly tearing up here, we're definitely going to get some of your tears in the next few episodes for sure.

yeah bro he uploaded a weekly schedule but he is not following it, uploaded 2 ep of jujutstu kaisan and demon slayer . its either his job or he doesn't like vinland saga as much as he's linking other shows that he is reacting to.

It’s been really bad, I always get the weekly upload done ASAP, (this season of Demon Slayer, and Solo Leveling) but I’m two days late with this weeks Demon Slayer episode.
I’ve been working a pretty serious case and I’ve been needed for the investigation but it’s been solved so the daily uploads will be back tomorrow.
Also uploading Vinland Saga 2x5 & 2x6 back to back to make up for it.
Starting Monday will be back to normal schedule. It’s been hectic lately, apologies about that and community post coming soon.

Einar is quite possibly the best person Thorfinn could have met, under those circumstances.
As someone who has been on the receiving end of Thorfinn's path of revenge and the vanity and brutality of Vikings, and who can still find it in himself to see the light ahead, when Thorfinn cannot.
And it goes both ways. I think Thorfinn is so important for Einar too, for him not to lose himself in hatred for those Thorfinn previously represented, by showing that you can be of a Viking background, but still be so opposite at the same time.
What a great support system they have in each other.

einar doesnt strangle thorfinn in the manga. he just stands there angrily staring at thorfinn. guess they added it to the scene to create more suspense, but it is kinda out of character for einar.
I don't think he strangles him in the anime either. He just makes it further. Thorfinn's heavy breathing was from his dream. If Einar was actually applying pressure, Thorfinn would have woken up
