#11 Hyundai Ioniq Woofer Installation Works

In this video, we demonstrate the installation works of a woofer to a Hyundai Ioniq HEV+ vehicle. The woofer and its enclosure are originally for the vehicle hence no modification is needed. Prior to the woofer installation, the Head Unit (HU) player has to be changed to the original Ioniq player as all Ioniq cars sold in Malaysia comes with a third-party HU player. Hence, the HU has to be changed either form United States of America (USA) or United Kingdom (UK) which is factory fitted to Hyundai Ioniq HEV vehicles. In this video, the HU has been changed to the UK player. The difference between the USA and UK HU is that the USA comes without an amplifier where else the UK HU comes with an amplifier. In addition to this, there are pre-existing fixtures of the woofer in all Ioniq vehicles. Hence, no modification or cutting of wires is necessary. Its 100% ‘plug and play’ concept. Look into a rear seat Vent install. I've noticed the 2017-2018 elantra have a rear center console almost he same. USA aftermarket parts are difficult to get and dont let you return.

Great to see that their is somone posting DIY mods for this car. Great add-on. Are you saying that a USA Ioniq HEV is equip to have a woofer plugged and play? Mine is the 2017 Limited Hybrid and woofer was not a option and will like to install this. I am okay with doing DIY things.
