I still use a Bose Wave that’s over 20 years old in my conservatory. It’s not my main listening room, but as a secondary system, it’s still very capable. These older systems do lack the modern features we’ve come to expect, which is why I have the old Wave connected to a Volumio node as part of my multi-room setup. What I find the Ruark systems excel at, though, is their look. The all-black plastic of the Bose Wave was sleek for its time, and nostalgia definitely plays a role in keeping me from “upgrading” from my beloved Wave. Still, I can’t deny the elegance of Ruark’s design-it’s phenomenal! Bose seems to be hinting at a new aesthetic direction with their recent SoundLink Home model, which has moved on from the all-black plastic of the past. It’s a welcome evolution, bringing a more sophisticated look that’s much more at home today than it was 20 years ago. Great review! I've just subscribed to the channel. One key thing that I loved you talked about was the stereo separation, very professional review. Finally I personally don't care that the R3S can't connect to Tidal Connect is not a problem as long as it will connect nicely to a streamer. I have streamers in multiple rooms already and it's better to have a system than plugs right into my multiroom setup than something that expects me to adopt a new ecosystem I'm not invested in. And at well under £1000 that Ruark sure is tempting!
I still have a R4i Mk2 connected to a turntable & a Sonos Port. I put a Bluetooth receiver on the iPod Dock. Aĺ works well. Only thing I can't play are cassettes.

Is the sound more natural sounding than the R410 given that these have a) Class A/B amp and b) Full-range drivers?
