Digital Cinema Media is Europe's most profitable cinema advertising company, formed by UK cinema chains Odeon and Cineworld. It started off in the 60's/70's as Rank Screen Advertising, supplying adverts for Rank/Odeon cinemas (hence the name). They stayed like this until 1996, when they were bought by Carlton Communications and renamed Carlton Screen Advertising. The company's UK and Irish services were split after Odeon and Cineworld acquired the UK operations and renamed it to its current name; Carlton's operations in Ireland remained until March 2014, when it was rebranded as Wide Eye Media. This was the last Carlton-owned company to use their name, long after their purchase by Granada in 2004.

It's odd that the Carlton name survived for 12 years after merging with Granada to become ITV, and in the form of cinema advertising none the less.
So here’s what I think of the DCM “Welcome to our World” Idents.
Amazement: I hate it because it scares the heck out of me whenever it starts, would be better if they didn’t change the music. I went to the cinema to see Despicable Me 4 expecting to see “Laughter” but instead I got a mini heart attack out of it.
Laughter: I like it because of how funny it is.
Suspense: No comment because I’ve never seen it.
*They went from calm, to having someone shove a branding iron into people's faces to scare the living shit out of them, to, well yeah, their idents they have now.*

Right here’s my take on the DCM welcome to our world Idents.
Amazement: Brilliant, I see it more now since I usually just watch Animated Generic Films, I didn’t see the old version though.
Laughter: I hated it because it scared me, It’s very abrupt on the speakers, recently I went to my nearest Odeon to watch The Garfield Movie and when they said it’s time for the ads I was like, time to rave because I thought it was just Amazement and suspense but then I saw the dog and i was like, They still making this stuff!?
Suspense: no comment basically Becuase I’ve never saw it. I will change this comment if I see it.
Missing "Cinema Media" the ident after RSA but before Carlton. This was the name of the company that Carlton bought off Rank and rebranded it, and the reason why it reverted back to the Cinema Meria name (with Digital added) when it was sold again.
I can't believe this crucial ident is left out!!
Back when this logo history was posted, the CLG Wiki didn't include the Cinema Media idents.

I'm pretty sure the logo at 2:49 was used in between the 1969 and 1973 logos…
UPDATE: I checked AVID and the aforementioned logo was actually used from 1971 until 1973.
