    Part 1 of this epic chat with Ian! One of my favourite videos to make so please make sure to like share & comment... and hopefully I can convince him back on the channel again!
    Part 2 will be all things CX training so keep your eyes peeled for that as its another banger!

    Cam Mason is in fact watching the Giorgio Coppola channel. And is in fact loving this chat. Surprised by the amount of name drops but just enjoyed yours and Ian's chat and insight. I'm just a fan of the sport so can watch this stuff forever, keep it up!

      😂 thanks for watching!
      All the name dropping is because you’re the top boy at the moment and the rider to beat… keep sending it, I absolutely love watching you race at the moment 💪

    Ian used to race over here in the US all the time, a regular here in New England. Truly, a gentleman, and f-ing fast!

      Ahh yes I forgot to ask him about racing in the US, I will have to ask him when I next see him 🤔

    That was my favorite 30 minutes of non-racing CX ever. Only way it could have been better is if The Rocket brought you two coffees in a swimsuit. Thanks! Best of luck Ian!

    Great interview, looking forward to part 2 already.
    P.S. I told you the way to remember it is: There is only ONE Ian Field 😉

    Great interview, and equally great interviewee. You can't beat an ex pro who passes on his knowledge during commentaries.👍 Hurry up with Part 2.😉

      He’s an absolute legend and gives away a lot of information on CX training in part 2 which was super helpful 🙌

    It's not just the number, but also the growth trajectory. I remember the first ones with a few hundred. A great measure of the channels success so far and how it's likely to grow.
    I remember in the beginning you saying that you're doing it because it makes you happy. This comes across in ever one you post. 🙌🙌🙌

      Thank you 🙌 and if your local national is Tong I’m not sure if I will be racing that one yet… as the Wessex league race on the Sunday of that weekend is one of my favourite courses 😬

    Great interview - you really get a lot of information and personality from your interviewees - and Ian Fields commentary is always a masterclass on technique, strategy and what’s going on. PS Cam Mason is living in Belgium this year. Keep up the great content.

      🙌 it was great to chat with him, he’s such a legend with so much knowledge of CX 👌
      Yes very true, I think Cam recently done a training camp at home in Scotland and that’s when I saw him riding 1 day in Scotland and then next in Belgium 🤯

    everyone is in hope that Van der Poel is some day not showing up at WC but this won't happen soon I guess he will take every Worlds he can :) and even with just a couple prep races he will be most likely FAV

    • @GiorgioCoppolaCycling
      @GiorgioCoppolaCycling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true but I guess Cam is a lot younger than mvp so there is always a chance for him 🤔 but then there are a lot of riders that would have a big chance of winning 😅

    Who asked the calves question? Was Jeremy goofing on Ian? Take a look at JPows sometime.

    • @GiorgioCoppolaCycling

      I can’t remember exactly who asked the calves question but when I showed Ian he said it was an old teammate 😂

    Relateable is a good word.
    You're good but not winning everything.
    I do envy the fact you have such dependable pit crew.

    • @GiorgioCoppolaCycling

      😂 I can’t argue with that I’m super lucky with my pit crew 👌

    My 30second power is the same at only 63kg yet I can't even top 5 Wessex league so maybe it's not that important.

    • @GiorgioCoppolaCycling
      @GiorgioCoppolaCycling  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s impressive… it’s more than just the number, he had a high ftp as well so super fit, which likely allowed him to do these 30 second efforts repeatedly throughout a race without seeing much drop off.
      A lot of cross is also bike skills, I have beaten riders with way better numbers than me but don’t have the cornering skill 👌
      The key is high ftp with a high short explosive power in my opinion 🤔
