A TOTALY FIRST CLASS HIT. MY GOD, this is what you call ART. WHAT a AMAZING BAND. And Floor, what can i say beside, SHE,S AWESOOOOOOOME. This is such a difficult song to sing, but she of course sing it like the metal queen she is. OUT OF THIS WORLD, BRILLIANT.

@@metalmana4242 November in Amsterdam? I'll be there, too. And I'm so looking forward to hear this song live... (With a little luck, I can see Nightwish at the "Deichbrand" festival here in Northwestern Germany, right around the corner form my hometown this year... If I still can get another ticket ;) ). In case I can't manage to see them there, I've already begun to improve my Dutch (so far, Ik spreek geen Nederlands), so that I at least can order myself a coffee after the journey over from Germany all the way to Amsterdam... ;)
I really, really love this video. I also totally agree with your analysis. Nightwish have changed their style a bit to fit Floor Jansen better, I think, even though she can do all the old songs from the Tarja and Anette eras... But, fortunately, it still sounds so distinctly Nightwish, that I fell in love with that song the very first time I heard it.
Love your reactions, keep them coming!

Kai hahto did not say song names, but I can guess this song they will play.

All bands must evolve or risk drowning in their own stagnation. I am so glad to see Nightwish taking a little different turn here and there. It just goes to show Tuomas' genius because he can produce a true Nightwish sound, and yet take it in a new direction. Maybe the new direction works out, and maybe it doesn't. But a true artist must try to push those boundaries and I, for one, am there for it.

Hi.I wondered to myself who has been "out of the crowd" for a while ... you're back! Great. I listened to the song before the music video and liked what I heard. The elements of Nightwish are well recognizable and Floor...she shines again. It was a bit strange to watch the video after getting used to the live performance here. But it is well done. I am now looking forward to this and the tenth of April.

I admit that I was a bit concerned before hearing the single, as the first single tends to be rather "radio friendly". I was happily surprised by this release though! As you mentioned, there are some stuff in the song that's not typical for Nightwish. One thing that stood out for me was the dramatic choir during the heavier part, which reminds me of Floor's first band After Forever. By the way, the actual single track feature an extended version of the heavier section.
Tuomas has mentioned that the first CD of the upcoming album will focus on the vocals of Floor, Marko and Troy, and it's also been described as being dark and progressive. I am literally counting the days to the release! 🤪

For me, in "Noise" Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" meets the TV-series "Black Mirror" laced with some "Matrix" & "GoT" vibes to paint a dark/critical picture of mankind & technology. It's also almost like the display of the seven deadly sins: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy & pride. Anyway, this is what true art sounds & looks like - at least for me.
P.S. The blonde is Jessica Edström. She's a Finnish social media celebrity model (at least in Europe) & DJ. Here's her Instagram page instagram.com/pezsiii/?hl=en in case others are interested. And the symbol at the end and also on the cover of the upcoming album is ancient cuneiform. The top half signifies God/Nature and the lower half mankind/humans.
P.S.S. But what if Floor wants to sit with you?

Mana! So good to see you again!!! Thanks for another fantastic reaction 🙂 It's wonderful to see you here, but I hope your school is going well, too 😉 About this song, I'd say you're right on with the digital and avatars, but notice that Tuomas is posing as an environmentalist in the beginning, but bathing in oil at the end, Troy is a king with the toiilet as his only throne, Emppu is being beaten for being different, Kai is taking selfies instead of helping Emppu, and Marko is pushing pills for everything while they're only leading to his own destruction. It's a powerful song and video. I think the part that hit me hardest was that end shot where people are so engrossed in their digital masks that they're missing out on the wondrous beauty all around them in nature.
As far as other suggestions, you won't go wrong with Nightwish, but I'd especially suggest Slaying the Dreamer and Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean from Buenos Aires - hard, heavy, and flat out amazing 😎 Marko has an entire solo album out in both English & Finnish now & I think you'd like most of it, but my favorites are Stones and Death March for Freedom. Then there's something I don't know if you've ever heard, but a band ccalled Eluveitie has really captured my attention. They're Swiss folk metal (some of their stuff isn't too hard but most is pretty damn heavy) and I really can't recommend enough the official video for their song Rebirth from their latest album Ategnatos. The whold album is pretty great, but this song has things like a violiin, aggressive flute, a harp at one point, a hurdy gurdy, and at one point there's a pair of distorted electric guitars harmonizing with the hurdy gurdy 😁 Oh yeah, there's voth a male and female vocalist & it's just gonna knock your socks off 😜
Here's wishing you a fantastic day, success in school, and a speedy return to full health 😎

Live versions of songs like Bye Bye Beautiful become heavier. I think that in this song they managed to pass to the album the guitar closest to live.
Floor is more like Unleashed the Archers (old school) when singing with high-pitched vocals.
Interesting to talk about more modern Nightwish, because the beginning of the song reminds me of industrial / martial bands.
In the end I gave more importance to the message combined with the images, and did not pay attention to the music.

You've done several Tool reactions but I'm not sure if you've heard their new album, Fear Inoculum. Their sound on that album compared to previous albums to me is very much like Nightwish's evolution here. It's definitely still very much them, but a modern, updated version of themselves. I love it when a band can evolve/progress and still retain everything that you loved about them.

Nightwishy Nightwish. It's a single. Tuomas kept it safe for mainstream consumption, but since it's Tuomas, it's still technically noteworthy and completely catchy.
Marco and Kai really drive the chorus along with the standard rock beat and alternating octave bass riffs. Those tasty bass slides during the piano interlude give this song a different feel. And I gotta say, Kai's kit is tuned to perfection.
After listening several times, the main verses may seem fairly simple at first, but there are many words in the lyrics that require Floor to sing several notes per syllable. Not easy at that tempo. This song also contains the first bonafide metal scream by a female Nightwish vocalist toward the end. Go Floor.
Poor Emppu power chorded his heart out all through the song, but still suffered interwebs backlash from the social media cancel culture mob.
