I had the honor of working with Frank Gorshin on a film in 1997. We became smoking buddies, as we both smoked and would go to the designated area together in the mornings. My Dad had worked at Barris Kustom city on the original batmobile, so I would strike up conversations about the show. Afterward I told my mother about this and she began to tell me what an incredible impressionist he was. I simply never knew, as all I had seen him on was "Batman". This was before youtube so how could I possibly know. I regret not knowing and not being able to tell him how great that I thought that he was.
I came here after coming across a recent interview with Angie Dickinson. Good God she was beautiful then beautiful now. She us the last of old Hollywood,beauty,glam,class,real lady. So happy we still have her here.

I also came here from a recent interview of Angie Dickerson. And i got there after Stephen Colbert recently mentioned that she was beautiful in Police Woman in a 70s style segment. I wanted to know who she was

Angie seems so genuine and happy playing and with the success of her partner - she's so much fun to watch and Frank is great as well. Great week of episodes with these two
She is so beautiful and gracious and so young. I saw her in person once when I was driving around the Hollywood hills and Bel Air. I turned off a fast blvd onto a side street and she was just backing out of her drive way wearing that signature hair band or maybe a hair scarf. She hunched over her steering wheel and clinched it, petrified as if she was terrified of tourists or people taking her picture. It was funny. I was just going on my way so the over reaction was hilarious. She had like an 80's era Mercedes S class with that ribbed strakes down the side on the bottom.

The movie starring Angie Dickinson (as a brothel owner in love with Glenn Ford's character), Glenn Ford (as the local sheriff) and Chad Everett (as a young gunslinger looking to prove himself as the fastest gun) was eventually renamed "The Last Challenge". It was adapted from a novel by John Olden Sherry named "Pisolero's Progress". In some countries, the movie was released with the title "Pistolero" and in others with the title "Le Pistolero de la Riviere Rouge".

Your description of Angie's character in relation to Ford's sounds like a rip-off of Gunsmoke.
I love how Allen swings that mic cord behind him and practically races to the panel. He does it on very episode. Seems like a great guy.

Wow these contestants are horrible…
I was never impressed with Frank Gorshin as a performer. As an impressionist, his range with limited and was more caricature than impression in the style of Rich Little, Billy Crystal, Sammy Davis Jr., or David Frye. He was okay if he was impersonating someone who could be portrayed by clenching teeth and grimacing menacingly (Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster and Jimmy Cagney).
Also in my opinion, he did one of the worst acting performances on the original "Star Trek" in the season three episode "Let This Be Your Last Battlefield", especially his imitation of an exhausted runner when he is chasing the escaped prisoner he had tracked to the Enterprise.
How do you feel about his daily 5 packs of cigarettes smoking habit? He eventually passed away because of it.

In the very first sentence of my comment, I limited my remarks to Frank Gorshin as a performer. I had no comment whatsoever about him personally. I know nothing about his character, his personality, his habits, how he treated his family, his friends, his neighbors, his colleagues, the wait staff in coffee shops and restaurants, etc. I know nothing about his spiritual or political beliefs.
I am talking about one thing only related to Mr. Gorshin: if TH-cam suggests a video clip to me and it includes Frank Gorshin, how likely am I to watch it. The implication is that the likelihood is very low. I made an exception for the episodes of "Password" on which he appeared because I knew that for the most part he would be confined by the requirements of game play.
I grieve anyone's death caused by any kind of addiction or bad habit. It is the fate of everyone born to eventually die, but it is a shame when anyone's habits hasten that death, and quite often impair the quality of life for many years prior to that death.
