Hi! I know everyone keeps saying this, but ive kept carrying on msc back from the games earliest days in 2016 and done pretty much every thing in every update ect ect.. But this is something that has been a big myth and a dream from the very beginning for me but for pretty much everyone in this community and it puts a big smile on many faces seeing you working on something so "impossible". I'm wishing you (and your friend(s)/team) luck on this. And remember you are making dreams come true every day with little things like this one. Hope i'll hear about this some day again. But till then see ya!

0:42 quick tip you can share sausages by putting the package on the stove or grill or whatever hot surface that can cook the stuff
And you will get rid of more hunger than eating the whole package at once Idk why but thats how it works

Here's another ideas from me
1. Avatar customization (because why not add one instead of old plain default character)
2.Playing with your friends offline (yea losing internet connection might be a pain in the ass)
3. I hope there's 2 satsuma (so we can race together and harassing others driver)

@@Nixka in my opinion you should make it "perfect" for 2 players first (you know satsuma sync and without bugs) and then focus on the 3 player extension

No, I am not, But I am using their (now old) components to make MSCO possible! And no you can not build the car yet unfortunately

when will the shitsoom be synced
maybe to fix the lagging behind issue, make his character stick to the seat position by flagging when he enters the seat and the position he seated in, making it relative to the Van position itself, that way you don't have to update his world position when he is seated, only the vehicle position and he his character will appear like is synchronized in your vehicle instead of looking like he is lagging

btw i think this technique is the best approach, at least that i can think of to make it more "sync" between clients
just make everything that touches a vehicle relative to it
for example define a zone or a hit box around a vehicle, if an object is inside the zone its coordinates should be defined based on the vehicle position, without necessarily having to be seated in only to sync to the vehicle (maybe for objects only first, although no idea if it works like this atm)
also if you experience lag far from the world center, maybe splitting the map in various equal squares with their own center and using that to define player location, maybe also comparing it to the absolute world origin would make it more precise, still it may be just too much for the bandwith considering that most of usa still have potato Internet connections
anyway im shure you will figure it out and when you Polish it more i bet this will be so hilarious to play with friends, so really thank you for your time doing this and also i hope you lots of fun developing it!
Wow thanks! I will use this as a reference later. But I think the world is already split because when other player is far away cars dont seem to start. And vehicle already has a zone where if player goes near it it claims ownership but It can't help with passenger seat for what I already have. The passengerseat is a separate static class that I have to somehow implement into where normal seat is.
@@Nixka if you have the source code for the game you could search what is the deal with that, is probably an optimization thing for sp since you dont need to have a car running when its so far away from the player wasting process time with all the calculations it implies, but that may work with maybe a coarse distance, maybe by the LOD algorithm or by the zones like you said
last thing i want to say, take what i said with a grain of salt, because i know a thing or two about computers, games and programming, but im not deep enough into coding to be completely shure about what i say
and also a little tip, your goal is to make the game look as smooth as possible from every player point of view, even if behind the curtains not everything is going so smoothly
if you are playing cooperative play instead of the mmo approach, use the client side processing power to your advantage like for example reducing gittering and rubber banding of the players and vehicles placing them in the expected position instead of the last reported one, maybe using a PID algorithm, remember that the vehicles will obey the game physics so if data is missing from time to time, you can fill the blanks making speculations about where the car will go next
an example of this can be war thunder when you get tons of packet loss, you can see the planes going to their expected places even tough you have not received any data

If player dies he will get disconnected. And will need to rejoin. If host dies both players gotta restart. Also good if you alt f4 before savinf

No, unfortunately there is no satsuma in msco. But once we get it working there will only be one. But only time can tell

I dont think video is needed. Just ask on discord. You click Continue to host a game. And click ESC to invite friend

Sure. It's because I have restored the mscmp-old and are improving on top of it. Thats what msco is! And I am forever grateful to Eryk and the others who created and shared the mscmp-old in the first place.
