    Thank you. You've given my RONSON lighter a new life!

    You are SOO right! These are absolutely great lighters with that very satisfying Zippoesque click when they close. They're well made and should far outlast their warranty. I understand removing the spring for easier lighting but It's a safety feature that I'd rather keep with grand kids running around. I liked it so much that I bought my local Walmart out a few years back when I got my first and I'm glad I did because I think they discontinued them (or at least sold out for a while). Nice tips though.

    thank you I've had this lighter sitting in my drawer for almost a decade empty and I filled it tonight and it didn't work. Your upgrade/modification has it running better than new.

      Take a paper clip/needle/little brush like the ones that cone with a electric shaver and clean out the jet holes and it will run even better...

    Thank you so much. I have been looking for a video for this very problem. I have two new lighters that had the problem you just fixed. I went step by step. It’s great now. Thanks

    ¡Thank you very much!
    ¡Muchas gracias!
    Con el muelle el pulsador iba durísimo... ahora sin el muelle, que se tarda dos minutos en quitarlo, es un placer hacerlo funcionar.

    Pleasantly surprised to see that Zippo removed that stupid black rubber plug in the bottom of the butane reservoir. It always dried out and shrunk to the point of unsealing the butane after about 18 months. It's almost as though it was designed to fail...
    Looks like ill be hunting down a new Jetlite for summer cigar season.

    Wrll price has gone up to $13 on Amazon. Walmart doesn't even have them. My clicker isn't working and I'm sitting at home just wanting to smoke. Seems like it should be an easy fix. Any suggestions?

      been 10 years since I did the mod... mine still works never needed to do it again... just check the sping and switch under the button Thats all I can suggest

    Bro. You dont have to remove pins to get rid of the trigger spring.... Just take a dremel or wire cutters and cut the spring down until its gone. That way you dont ruin the hose connection and ruin the lighter quickly. Also doing this if you send it in for the ine year warranty thing i dint think theyll fix it. But thats easy enough to do if ur a little handy and have spare parts around.

    Very useful, paper clip can also be used to remove the black rubber ring and metal circle thing under it.

    Well I put it in the fastest forward but the thing you push down won’t click to light I wonder if it’s that spring?

    used a needle of a hair comb , the thin end, lol. and also the rubber gasket and metal piece inside now just easily fall out if u turn it upside down.

    I have one where the clicker now longer clicks, thus no spark. Can you help with this?

    • @superque4
      @superque4 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a mechanical issue you'd have to post a video showing what's going on. It could be too many things to guess at.

      @@superque4 yea I trashed it. Tried a few temporary fixes but nothing would stick.

      Next time or if you have a more expensive torch, just get another lighter with the click ignition from like a dollar store or something and swap them out.

    one should be able to just cut that spring to get it out without having to take out those pins

      @WKRP187 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you lost the spring cuz he didn't say "don't loose the spring" in the video.... You are the reason ladders are covered with dumbass stickers that say DON'T DIVE OFF LADDER HEAD FIRST and DON'T EAT THE LADDER ECSPECIALLY AFTER MIDNIGHT aren't ya??

    Poorly made video. Why not use the screw driver instead of blunthumb to pointhings out? Already took O-ring out.
