I was disappointed to find the defect at the 1:15 mark in this recording. Nearly an entire paragraph is missing. That same defect is in my 5-CD set of The Edgar Allan Poe Audio Collection.

Sometimes Vincent Price skips these long parts willingly. They countain less sentiments and therefore less useful for his performance.
