Hey man, thanks very much! It depends on the project and which version it was made in (commonly Suite), I would recommend getting the trail version of Live Suite.

So I plugged it in and I cant really play the Project I've put in (Virus - Martin Garrix). The problem is I cant change between the pages of the project, lights and sound work but not the pages... The Launchpad S is great, it's an old one compared to the MKII though, which is why Novation don't sell the S anymore, but you may be able to find it online with a search. I would recommend the MKII.
what i need to know is how i put the .als document in there and them make it so each button makes a certain sound, and how i put the chain selector thing in the instrument and drum rack. and also what I'm supposed to change in the drum rack and instrument rack (sorry if i sounded demanding)
Hi there. So the .als file will just be in the entire package that's downloaded, which you put into the Launchpad Project folder you make and open in Ableton. Where the buttons and chain selectors are then depends on the project, which there is a video for each one made. I hope this helps.

Ni Nick, thanks for getting in touch. You need to drag everything that's downloaded from your downloads folder in to the folder that you make on your Mac/PC, and then it should appear in there.
Great question! You need a full version of Ableton to use some lights plug ins, so some project files you download will need a paid version, but Live Lite will allow you to make basic shows with just midi programming!

Sorry to hear it man! I'd suggest trying some different project files, and check out the video I did on Launchpad Arcade, that's actually supported by Novation themselves.
You put the file in a folder on your computer which you can make in Documents and name 'Launchpad Projects', and then click 'Add folder' on the left of Ableton and select that folder in your documents, then open it from Ableton. Check out the video for more information.
John, having trouble loading a project file. This would be “Alone.rar” by Marshmello but the file was set up by Irox. When I load it I get the yellow box buffering then force closing, or from inside Ableton, I get error message saying it can’t open the file. Hi there, you shouldn't be getting that issue as long as the samples are in the right folder. You can also do a manual search and select the folder of samples. if that fails, redownload the file and put it straight into your 'Launchpad Projects' folder.

When I pressed tab there wasn't Lightshow or the other stuff it was just Main and LED and when I went to MIDI and clicked on either of them, the rack with the blue buttons to set the pages wasn't there. I have a Launchpad Mk.II

How do I open a .rar file? EVERYTIME I download a file it’s blank and ends with .rar please help
.rar is a compressed file, download WinRar to open .rar files and then extract it to a folder on your computer

How exactly do you keep the samples again? Do you just put them in the project folder?

Good question, I'm not entirely sure. Lights are just MIDI so it may be that, or it may be something Max For Live related as he uses that.

Hey man, this can be changed by mapping the pain selectors to the buttons on the right of the Launchpad, which is explained in the video.

Are you sending the LED track to the right MIDI channel? Try all MIDI channels, and try a different project.
