Only 24,510 original miles. From a Trans Am collector that has owned this car the last 17 years. This car was his hobby. He personally detailed and maintained this car. It participated in countless shows and has won many awards. It is one of the best I've seen. The Anniversary cars came loaded, even with options unavailable on any other Trans Ams. They were all produced the same except for drivetrain. You could get an automatic which came with the 403 Olds motor or you could get the much more desirable 4-speed that came with the higher hp Pontiac 400 motor. This one is the latter of the two.
It is loaded with documentation. There are so many options it required a 2 page window sticker! It also has 2 build sheets, original invoice, inspection sheet, manuals, literature and warranty agreement. It has been documented by Pontiac Historical Service.
EXTERIOR: The body is pristine with absolutely no signs of any rust or damage, not even a door dent. The paint is mostly original and it has a beautiful glossy finish. The bumpers and spoilers all fit really well and have no cracks or damage. The paint is practically pristine, you'd have to look really long and hard to find even a minor flaw. It has a very glossy finish. All of the striping and the bird is in excellent condition. The glass is all crystal clear but there is one stone chip in the windshield. The mirrored t-tops are excellent. The original turbo wheels are not scraped, they have the original clear coat finish, new center caps. The BF Goodrich tires look new. The door jambs are spotless. Sill plates are shiny, the paint is shiny, the weather strips are excellent.
INTERIOR: 10th anniversary cars came with a very high end interior. It was the only Trans Am you could get actual leather upholstery and plush carpets in. It also has unique embroidery and red lit gauges. The dash area is mint. The machine turned panel is shiny, rally gauges work including quartz clock. It has original digital stereo with 8 track player. The leather formula wheel is on a tilt column. Overhead the headliner, visors, trim and mirror are mint. The dome light also has map lights, they work. All the trim, console, speaker shelf are excellent. No extra cut speaker holes, no damage, no cigarette burns. Actually the lighter and ashtray don't look like they have ever been used. The original leather still looks real good. The original light color carpet has some minor discoloring like they all do.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the more desirable 400 higher horsepower Pontiac motor. It is detailed like brand new factory condition. The entire shaker hood scoop assembly is complete. All the ductwork, decals, hoses and rubber seal look brand new. Every component finish looks like new. The air conditioning is updated with R134 freon. The fan shroud and overflow bottle are pristine. The brake booster is cadmium plated, the alternator looks new. Really, this motor compartment is spotless. He took a lot of pride in keeping this motor detailed and serviced.

My mother drove one when I was a kid. My father bought it for her for Christmas. I would love to own one someday. It is on my bucket list. She drove the heck out of it, and sometimes scared the heck outta me.😅

Another one where all that one can say is, WOW!! I was surprised to see the price. I honestly would've expected thousands more. Exceptional for a true survivor .... esp one kept as pristine as this one. It is obvious this car's been loved. Thank you for sharing this 'new' TA with us.

I had the 79' Tenth Anniversary and it had the 403, what a dog it was but I loved that car.....

Although the tenth anniversaries are very loaded cars, they don't have all the options you could get. They
didn't come with engine block heater, door edge guards or halogen headlamps. The worst thing was all of them
were built with the 8 track stereo radio, when a cassette radio was on the option list. My special order regular 79 T/A
was ordered with ALL the options and the Cassette radio, but the build kept getting delayed due to first one option
or another being temporarily unavailable. It wound up getting built without the rear window defogger because the option
was being held back for installation in the 10th anniversary cars, so after months of delays it was decided to have them
build it without the defogger......the only option my car doesn't have. Mine is Cameo White, Red hobnail velour interior, with
gray background on the snowflake wheels.

whoever told you that 403 was less powerful is full of it. i had one and the 4 speeds couldn't keep up.
Agreed....I had a new 400 4speed 79 with a 3:23 rear axle and all it would run in the quarter mile
was 16.0 seconds flat. The 403 Olds 79 T/A I now own will run 15.3 in the quarter with the A/C
going full blast........and it has a 2:73 rear axle! Both cars bone stock and tuned up properly.

Condition-wise, I have never seen a nicer car. I'd be afraid to drive it. The silver on silver is spectacular.

All you have to do with the 403 Oldsmobile is place 10:1.1 forge aluminum pistons in it.
And a steel main girdle for the block, among a few other things with intake, heads and cam.
