    The E and O ray are at right angles in the calcite crystal. When they propagate in the crystal, since its a negative crystal, the velocity of the E ray is grater than o ray, so there should be a phase difference but they are at right angles, so how can there be a path difference, I can't relate both. Please help.How can the E ray and O ray can travel together?

    Why there are two refractive indices for e and o ray passing through the same material. Mathematically its true that refractive index depends on velocity. But physically how can same substance can have two different refractive indices? Refractive index is a material based property. Please answer.

    Sir, plane polarised me , Nicol prism se pass hone k baat uska O-wavefront to khatam ho gaya , but pile of plate me refract hone k baad , phir se O - waveform kaise generate hua.
    Matlab , nicol prism se sirf E-Wavefront pass karega and O-wavefront TIR(Total internal reflection) ho gayega.....but baat me phir se apne diagram me light ko O and E waveform me tor diya. Kaise???? O waveform to absorb ho gaya tha na.

    Sir, at 7:57 , e rays were taken such that they are perpendicular to plane of board and o rays in the plane of board... previous cases were not like that.... vibration in the plane of board was taken as e rays....why is such a difference.......can you help me..
