BSG and The Expanse are the two best SciFi series ever produced for television. I've binge watched both several times and each repeat viewing is as good as the first time around. I swear, Tricia Helfer, when this event took place, was even more beautiful than she was when the series aired.
Hey everyone, my name is Arik I recently turn 40 in June. I am autistic and a big fan of bsg. I am going blind and dying from a brain injury. I don't have long so I just go day by day. I just set a new record this last week. Since I am home alone 24 7 these days and just rest on thr couch after a seizure and wake up 13 hours later most times, rven though it's blurry for me to see at 30 percent vision I watched 4 seasons in 4 days, day 5 thr movies made, now day 6 and 7 been listening to the extra features it'd incredible. Thr show and the cast is thr only thing giving me hope anymore. And when I am passed out I have dreams of being in the show with everyone on the show. They all know it's me and how sick I am and they give me a detailed tour of the ship and every ship on the fleet, I try on different uniforms thst they let me keep, they let me have my own quarters for the duration and even Doc Cottle gives me hope for a new treatment without surgery to reduce my brain swelling and let me see again and open my throat without surgery so I won't bleed to death because of my hemofelia and I am able to eat solid food for the first time in almost 11 years. Even get to hang out for a few hours with President Roslin. First thing she does is give me a big hug and told me if she can survive cancer I can survive this. Admiral Adama and Saul met me in CIC and said I was a real warrior for fighting through this every day and gave me a medal for heroism. It goes on and on. Even Starbuck and cheif showed me around and hung out with me. We all had coffee together then I started to laugh but couldn't tell them why lol. But every time I wake up for real I am back to being weak and blurry and dizzy and every time I try and eat solid food I choak instantly again. And I lay back on the couch and cry myself back to sleep or till I have another seizure and then either way I am back where I am happy and alive and have friends who won't take advantage of me and steal from me and even try to kill me daily like they do out here. I wish I had time to meet the real cast before I die ans the ones who made the show butni doubt they would want ro meet me. Thanks for letting me share. So say we all.
I loved the scene between Rhodes and Mary (Dr and Laura) where she thanks him for how he let her live even though she was dying and he almost tears up and she says now light a cigarette and walk away and grumble like you always do. It encaptures Arons story about them smoking outside in reality so perfectly! RIP.
This show had just the right edginess without taking one side over the other with regards to all of the political and religious themes they so fearlessly confronted. I doubt it would be so easy today given how divided and antagonizing people have become.
For me its this show, and Lost. Funnily enough, the cast have the same kind of class as Lord Of the Rings. they just work. I think it takes a very good eye in casting to bring the chemistry together.

Yeh i look at GOT as Fantasies realistic take on deep morality amongst other real world topics but BSG was even more realistic and should be the Sci-fi version with just as much popularity imo. It's a shame it's not out in 4K but it's still great to watch even with outdated CGI.

Definitely during Trump era, listen to their political answers. You can see some were really uncomfortable about that because supporting him can lose your job. We don't truly know all their true political aligning's. Why the fuck would any one ask a question about star wars when there on a BSG panel. Some of these questions are just stupid and make the actors look sort of lost and dissoriented. Bringing our modern politics in it, asking actors about their favorite curse words. Like what in the hell, talk about the show, the production, favorite moments, episodes, the industry, artistic medium, any of that would be fine.
This just seems lie a complete clusterfuck of a convention, you need a moderator to organise to set things up on stage. Actors need to be directed or led at conventions. They have probably been in the green room for a while so have got reacquainted fortunately unlike Marina Sirtis they haven’t drunk the free booze in the green room dry. But you need a leader on stage to manage the guests and attendees interactions. Whilst the guests have done many of these events before, it should not be expected of them to run the stage talk just to participate

If they want to be political spokespeople they should consider going into politics. What a complete turnoff to hear about their political views when they can't do it in a way where they're accepting of others who views are different. This is such a moronic take. For one, its a sociable panel for the purpose of getting to know the actors, their experiences and personal opinions, not some official event to promote an age old show. You're just butt hurt because you don't like their opinions, none of which were contentious or aggressive to "others whose views are different" Secondly, BSG has MAJOR political undertones, half of its material is allegorical to real world politics with a depth unlike any other sci fi show ive seen. We don't truly know all their true political aligning's. Maybe some but many actors don't like to say who they support, just like regular people because they feel they will be ostracized or worse in recent years so say they follow the politically correct answer to keep themselves safe.

Why the fuck would any one ask a question about star wars when there on a BSG panel. Some of these questions are just stupid and make the actors look sort of lost and dissoriented. Bringing our modern politics in it, asking actors about their favorite curse words. Like what in the hell, talk about the show, the production, favorite moments, episodes, the industry, artistic medium, any of that would be fine.

This just seems lie a complete clusterfuck of a convention, you need a moderator to organise to set things up on stage. Actors need to be directed or led at conventions. They have probably been in the green room for a while so have got reacquainted fortunately unlike Marina Sirtis they haven’t drunk the free booze in the green room dry.
But you need a leader on stage to manage the guests and attendees interactions. Whilst the guests have done many of these events before, it should not be expected of them to run the stage talk just to participate

If they want to be political spokespeople they should consider going into politics. What a complete turnoff to hear about their political views when they can't do it in a way where they're accepting of others who views are different. This is such a moronic take. For one, its a sociable panel for the purpose of getting to know the actors, their experiences and personal opinions, not some official event to promote an age old show. You're just butt hurt because you don't like their opinions, none of which were contentious or aggressive to "others whose views are different"
Secondly, BSG has MAJOR political undertones, half of its material is allegorical to real world politics with a depth unlike any other sci fi show ive seen. Of course its going to provoke discussion and comparisons...that's the point of it. If you just want space battles and robots, maybe you should find something simpler.
