i want to draw on an old sail. what paint should i use?
you can't just use any old paint on a sail as it won't adhere. I suggest calling one of the sail manufacturers and asking what they would recommend

And how do i color black sails with pencil? it looks like there is a lot of lines when i use pencils
for black sails you will just add more graphite until the tonal value is correct - use a soft pencil too, like an 8B
Ok but what does graphite means?
Also can you make a video on how to shade (including how to hold the pencil while shading) because i'm having trouble shading the sails

How do i shade the sails without any clouds because i don't have the thing to make the clouds so how?
the thing I use to make the clouds is simply an old piece of t-shirt material which I rub over a piece of paper. The piece of paper has been scratched with pencil. So the cloth then picks up the graphite from the paper and I use that to draw with

This takes moths of practice you also might be thinking “Wow this is so hard he must have been practicing for a long time” yes it might take time but if you have the right “tools” and follow the proper instruction you will find it easier and easier to draw what you want I hope you have a good day😊

It would be a great video but take a breath, so everyone can keep up way to fast just saying
thank you for the feedback. I do sometimes speak too fast on the time lapse vids, but am getting better. You can of course follow the real time draw along version of this lesson on my website :)
The sails look great. The sky looks acceptable for quick sky. The water looks terrable and the boat looks like an 8yo did it. The reflections look like a lazy job. The flag and character on the boat look like you spent about 30 seconds on them. You didn't even bother to attempt to render any water at all.
my but we are full of compliments today. Luckily you draw a lot better and don't need to watch my videos then
