The thing here is, people are not really willing to invest and take high risks because the resources are scarce and most want quick and guranteed return of investment. So most labels and producers would only invest on songs, production and type of artists that are proven to have succeeded in the past. That is why SB19 and 1Z are investing their earnings to break the norm in the Philippine music industry. They want to put out content that can compete in the global market. However, OPM with familiar sound is still the guaranteed cash cow. Welcome back, thank you for continually giving your support to the Filipino artists. Just as there are negative people and problems in any and all aspects of life, I hope you thrive and succeed. Wishing you all the best in life.
So many things to unpack here. First, establishing a new company in whatever industry is so challenging already, what more in a whole different country, culture, context, etc, etc. The cultural difference will be a big factor to take in. For sure you need to adjust to things that cannot change overnight. There are studies on differences of how the global north and global south treat time and that is not to excuse how bad it really is but you need to navigate that and its underlying factors. I wrote a paper on it during my university days lightyears ago. You have your own biases and beliefs and shedding that to be culturally sensitive and adapt when you can, change what you have control over, and work around what you can will be an intricate balance for sure. I also understand your point on K-Pop and how the target audience is somehow similar if you look at the global scene. For the group acts, I somehow agree that the audience they would need to tap into are the same but maybe P-Pop has a different flavor to offer than the idol culture that K-Pop is known for. Maybe we need to find that niche to set it apart from the usual fan service/visuals that K-Pop idols are known for. Also it took Korea so many generations of their K-pop acts (spanning more than a decade) to reach its level today and P-Pop is just a mere infant. That is with the Korean government injecting funding to their entertainment industry which the Philippines will probably not do with our state of affairs/politics. We have a long way to go and kudos to you if you have the patience and passion to hopefully see it bear fruits in the future.
Welcome back, my favorite SB19 RV duo 😊 Thank you for taking the challenge to work in the Philippines. It's really worth a journey because you'll really learn a lot but yeah... anyways more opportunities to your team and look forward to more bigger opportunities, salute to you guys 🫡😉💙🫰🙏

Felt bad and I’m really ashamed that until this time Filipinos really really had that bad habit about punctuality and it is like a cancer in the community. It has been my daily struggle for the past 20 years in my sales business when I am meeting people for my business and the worst case is when they don’t show up to our meeting and gave several excuses. You’re still polite in putting it out how people here are so disrespectful with each other’s time. One of the reason economic growth is so slow. I salute your bravery to do business here and seeing a lot of potential in the music business that our own Filipino businessmen don’t see. To people might be reading this comment, I am 100% pinoy and I always make sure to be at the meeting place 15mins before the agreed meeting time. It takes alot of awareness for me to understand how important and vital honoring the other person’s time.
It's deep-rooted; the slave mentality and the control of the Catholic religion. Post colonial Filipinos passed down these traits to their descendants, so we are wired to be slaves and to obey and 'idolize', and settle for what's less and what's given to them. So you are spot-on when it comes to the fans. Filipinos will wait on their 'idols' no matter what. And we wonder why k-pop and k-drama got this big? It's the army of Filipinos. Sandara Park and her group got so huge because of Filipinos. Filipinos fans will stream and vote for their 'idols' until their eyes pop out and their fingers numb. I was personally shocked when I connected with SB19's Atin online. They are hardcore, and they are doing it for the love of their idols. This is why their idols are winning fan-based awards. And this also happening to international beauty pageants. I've never seen such dedication and passion. There's always that line between admiration and obsession. Going back to my point, Filipinos settle for less. "Aww, no electricity? Oh, it's okay. It'll be back. Yay, light's back!" "Oh, the politicians stole money that's supposed to be for the children's education. Oh, well. It's okay, at least our kids go to school." "Oh, the Billboard Philippines f^*d up SB19's stint? Not cool, but at least the boys did well, and were so professional about it. So proud of them!" I MEAN. Yeah so Filipinos will settle for less, so there is no necessity or urgency to IMPROVE or get better. Filipinos settle, just like a slave. I know the truth hurts, but that's how deep-rooted this centuries old problem is. Still, I'm hopeful, Filipinos will one day wake up break free from these chains. It's not okay. We want the best!
Excuse me. But you may have a slave mentality. And the Catholic Church did not and does not control Filipino Catholics. There are a lot of Filipinos who claims to be Catholic but are not practicing their faith. So it does not mean they are controlled by the Church. I'm Catholic and I am not controlled by the Church. I believe in my Church that teaches me to follow Christ. So please don't spout such nonsense. I'm Filipino and have never had a slave mentality. And I do not believe other Filipinos will agree with you. Share your two cents but don't speak about stuff you don't know about.
Filipinos are not slaves… they are servants.. i do believe everyone is created for a certain purpose… slaves are different from servants.. servants have dignity … servanthood is a calling… and not all have the heart to serve.. many wants to be served.. How about if there are no filipino nurses around the world? Caregivers? Filipinos don’t back out of their responsibilities .. we are dedicated.. compassionate.. we are welcoming .. forgiving.. empathetic and so much talent.. gifted but still humble.. and i am proud to be one.. a FILIPINO! I AM NOT A SLAVE… I AM A SERVANT😊❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your woke ideology is toxic. You’re not only insulting Filipinos but the fact that you’re so fixated in American culture, like many gen z, is baffling due to the fact that you have no respect for religion and people’s beliefs. Your parents have failed you. Did you even consider the fact that these two hosts may possibly be Christians or Catholics?
Welcome to the Phil. Lucas. Wishing for your success . Accdg to Pablo , with hardwork & dedication, everyone is bound to succeed, with the right timing! Thank you for believing in Filipino talents😊
you may be the change the philippine music industry needs :) just be sensitive to the culture. :) or maybe change the industry culture :) ; Manny Pacquiao would have been less successful without Freddie roach his American coach. OMG I was just thinking about you guys last night wondering in what island of the Philippines have you hibernated to😂... I am glad to see you back and looking forward to regularly seeing you two again.... The irony of it is that, take the same Filipino living in the Philippines, who is always late, to the US or Dubai or Japan, they don't show up late because they know the strictness and they know they can't mess it up because foreigners won't give you the time of day for petty excuses such as blaming it on traffic, etc.
How nice and generous of these guys to still say such good feedbacks and comments despite the quite " annoying/ disgusting" experience with what they call " Filipino time".. Here's just hoping that your efforts to help showcase Filipino talents will come into fruition .. Wish you success . God bless you guys
Nepotism is prevalent in the entertainment industry. Connection and big back ups already paved the artist way. And, for those who don't have the connections and big back ups, will have to work hard to break in. Lucky for those artist who persevered and got the break but so many very talented ones just gave up because doors are not being opened for them. People also support nepotism. Eg: if an artist have a child, people already paving the way for this child to be the next such and such and big companies are already cashing on them to be the next endorser because of their parent/s status in the industry. This where I like the western way, in where they open an audition and give anyone a chance. Where else, the Philippines still have these mindset of " let's give this project to such and such cos they are the famous right now or cos they are the children or belong to a family of these known artist". Their future in the industry have been carved the moment they were conceived.
It's okay, in opening a business in the Philippines, or wherever, is no shortcut, struggles and hardships always with it, but patience, prayers, resilience and everything are the keys, Someday your label will be one of the successful Company in the Philippines, In God's Will 🙏❤️

True..and if the artists decides to stand their ground on the *time and *technical issues chances are they will be cancelled coz there's a ton of equally talented artists around waiting to be tapped. Take it or leave it.

I only began to look back n started to give a chance to Filipino entertaintment When SB19 passed my radar on YT and it was the first month of pandemic lockdown. And I saw a ray of hope. And I thought perhaps it's time to appreciate PH talent. I hope people in PH industries will step up and upgrade.😊
I think fans are now more demanding like the BBPH where they complained about the late start of the show. But in Araneta where SB19 had the show by itself, they started on time
I’m from Pampanga and we always listen to GV FM in the office and heard Eclipse’s guesting twice. Hope they’ll get big in the near future. Praying for your health and safety too Josh and Lucas.
Welcome back, thank you for continually giving your support to the Filipino artists. Just as there are negative people and problems in any and all aspects of life, I hope you thrive and succeed. Wishing you all the best in life.
We miss u and welcome back ❤
So many things to unpack here.
The only constructive criticism I appreciate are from them. Been following them since they reacted to PPOP and they shared so many insigts.
You’re good people. I wish you success in all that you set out to do.
Miss you guys!😊Thank you for calling us out on our bad "Filipino" habits.
Omg! I've missed your SB19 RVideos so much. 😊
Welcome back
Good to see you again! Waiting for your reaction.
I remember from the time you guys were just in your living room doing reactions to now; you guys have gone a very long way. As a fan of your content it’s really inspiring and even makes you proud as a viewer what you guys accomplished. CONGRATULATIONS to you both. Keep going and keep strong! Watching from California.
I missed you so much guys! my fave reactor of sb19😍😍😍
Welcome back Josh&Lucas! I miss you guys!
Welcome back! I hope everything is going well with you and your family and the whole team here. God bless you always.
Yah,totally disagree on that point of view of Filipino's being slaves for becoming so grounded.
San po galing un?.
@@JulieAspiras-w2k I agree. It's about servanthood.
Thanks god ur back👏🙏👍 we miss you.
missed your show so much! so glad you' re back!!!!

Good to see you both again....God bless you and your company❤
Welcome back Josh and Lucas
you may be the change the philippine music industry needs :) just be sensitive to the culture. :) or maybe change the industry culture :) ; Manny Pacquiao would have been less successful without Freddie roach his American coach. Filipino talent and western/american discipline techniques and coaching = mega success.
Wow I'm so excited for the girl group! Thankfully, your back so happy and thrilled for your upcoming reactions.
glad to see you guys doing this again and this one was very insightful.
Good to see you Josh and Lucas!🤗 When you do have time, I would like to see your reaction to SB19 Billboard PH performance with the technical issues. Your thoughts and how to prevent them from happening.
1:08:38 wishing you all the best Sirs at GKD Labels.🙏🙌

You rock!
Welcome back Josh and Lucas. You both discussed very great points. I totally agree. You are both doing a great job in spreading awareness and starting an evolution in the Philippine music industry.
Welcome Josh & Lucas nice to see you again
WELCOME BACK!!!!❤
Thank you for supporting and giving huge opportunity to our Filipino talent. I wish you all the best! Mabuhay kayo ng matagal!
Wow we mssed you guys..
Welcome back!❤
Looking forward to see you both.
How nice and generous of these guys to still say such good feedbacks and comments despite the quite " annoying/ disgusting" experience with what they call " Filipino time".. Here's just hoping that your efforts to help showcase Filipino talents will come into fruition .. Wish you success . God bless you guys

Wow! Welcome back 😊
Welcome back, Josh and Lucas
You have my support guys I’ll reach out to others who did not come
accross you channel yrt
Favoritism or favored artist or person is common in showbiz that pulling down the industry I think.
Yes preach!
It's okay, in opening a business in the Philippines, or wherever, is no shortcut, struggles and hardships always with it, but patience, prayers, resilience and everything are the keys, Someday your label will be one of the successful Company in the Philippines, In God's Will 🙏❤️
Welcome back!! been waiting for this!! Glad to see you both back.. 😊😊
Good to see u Josh and Lucas.😊 we missed you and been waiting for the reactions 🤩
Miss you guys ,praying for your success
it's good to get a glimpse inside the local music industry for us outsiders that are just regular fans and consumers of music. the positive and negative aspects that can be improved more if we want philippines on the international music scene, like local producers should be willing to invest more on the talents...go all out with the support. the road is tough ahead, stay positive guys and continue doing what you love to do!
Hi Josh & Lucas! Nice to see you physically together again. Welcome back to the Ph, Lucas! I really appreciate your open-mindedness and patience on our 'maniana habit' culture. Happy to see you back with the updates. More power to all your endeavors and thank you for all that you do for the Philippine music industry. Like I have always said in the past, you two really walk the talk. Good luck. People always resist innovation. It happened with SB19 when they were starting and now you are experiencing it too. Just keep at it. Sooner or later, they will see the light.
I was just thinking about how I missed you guys chatty content 😁glad to see an upload!
Thank you for believing in Filipino talents🥰 Hoping for your success.
Welcome back Josh and Lucas!
Just keep promoting eclypse, in a most possible ways, just don't give up, 😊take SB19 as an example, now look where they are..😊
23:26 this makes my blood boil. This is what I ranted before. The producers are taking advantage of the fans’ patience. BBPH didnt even offer an apology regarding the tech glitches! A’tin shouldn’t let this slide!
True..and if the artists decides to stand their ground on the *time and *technical issues chances are they will be cancelled coz there's a ton of equally talented artists around waiting to be tapped. Take it or leave it.
@ agree. that’s the reason why the fans should demand on behalf of the artists. The artists can get cancelled if they’ll be the ones to insist on proper time management.
