It definitely feels a lot cleaner. Although the Canadian plastic notes tend to stick together, sometimes one would unintentionally give 2 notes instead of one, because they just stack on top of one another. Don't know if that happens to others.

Ato Joda Roman soldiers in some parts of the empire used to be paid in salt, surprisingly. Silk was also as valuable as gold, literally worth its weight in it.

Australia is pretty progressive when it comes to its coinage and bank notes. Not only did we pioneer and release the first polymer banknotes in the world, we also replaced the $1 note with a $1 coin in 1984, the $2 Note with a $2 coin in 1988 and we also removed the 1c coin and 2c coin waaaay back in 1992. We also released a Multi-coloured $2 coin in 2012 for Remembrance Day with a red poppy stamped into it.
We've also changed the people on our Currency more times than most people can remember ... I think a few more will be changed in the near future as well...

    • @horatiohuffnagel7978

Dean Beyers He means the gold in banks and possibly jewelry. Most of it is on loan out of the banks and used in every day things like you said. Computers and stuff. If you invest in gold at the bank chances are its not physically there. Your bank lends it to someone who lends to someone etc. Fuck Fort Knox hasn't had an official inspection since the 50's. Its all promises to pay basically. Your 30 grand in the bank is just a promise to pay you back. If they go under guess what your money isn't coming back. lol

    • @horatiohuffnagel7978
      @horatiohuffnagel7978 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Dean Beyers It is scary when you realize its all a big numbers game. These big banks and governments are playing a dangerous game. I'm young (27) and going back to college so I don't have a lot of money but when i'm older and hopefully well off I'd probably buy real physical gold. It seems the only stuff to be a sure thing. If money becomes worthless I bet gold wont be worth as much as now but it should still be worth something.

The grooved ridges are for blind people so that they can feel what type of coin it it, at least in Canada here different coins have different ridged patterns (not so sure about other countries).

Brenden Gilvear The ridges are to keep people from shaving silver off the edges. The one cent penny is smooth. A blind person knows a coin by the feel. No silver in coins anymore and no copper in the penny but paper money has all kinds of features but without the ink it is merely cotton paper

Money is completely useless except for competitive and greed driven human beings. The value given to a currency is dictated by how much the wealthy families and governments dictate it to be. It's as simple as typing a number into a computer so that money can be printed or minted and banks will have something to lend at interest. Barter and sharing is so much better than using money.

I have never seen "Australian" currency or a "kangaroo" which is just more proof that "Australia" does not exist. And, also, grooved ridges on edges of Canadian coins serves so blind people can recognized coins by manipulating it (2$ coins have a sequence of ridges/no ridges, loonies are not perfectly rounded -they have 11 faces- and have smooth edges, 25 cents have ridges, etc), so it's all thinked to help

Wanna tell em something really amazing , fully explain fiat currency if you can. I like the part about how it has no value until you work for it and by excepting it as payment you give it value. That value is now owned by the issuer and all they did was print a note. All fiat is loaned by the issuer and has to payed back with interest. Now why should some people be granted the right to just make false notes backed by nothing? Imagine your neighbor was printing counterfeit and the cops said thats ok, you see the Gov. made a law saying its ok, but if we catch you doing it your going to jail but don't worry about your neighbor. They have special permission to print fake notes and by the way we also made a law that says you have to take them. Now shut up and eat shit motherfuckers the Gov. says so.

No what's really funny is that I can do a really good impression of the late Steve Erwin's catch phrase ' Aww Cricky'.
A lady on the metro seen me wearing a kilt before heard me talk like that and asked me were I came from (another country), I told her I was from here (locally).
It is comical what a little imitating accents can do.

    1/2 an egg
    1 tbsp of oil
    1 tbsp of milk
    1 1/2 tbsp Nutella
    1 heaped tbsp flour
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tbsp cocoa powder
If the flour is not self rising add a pinch of baking powder or soda powder
Mix it up in a mug
put it in the microwave at first for 30 seconds, then at 10 sec intervals. It should be a moist cake and have a molten center. Try it, it's a nutella mug cake and amazingggg
    You're welcome^

I think it is interesting to note that the same part of the world that came up with the 0 denomination bank note also invented the digit 0 in mathematics - probably nothing to do with each other, but the fact jumped out at me.

The most surprising thing about money is that nobody ever has enough of it
