- ສະບາຍດີ! Since I haven't had the opportunity to wear my Lao clothes anywhere this past year, I thought it would be fun to put together a video. I picked out some of my favorite sinhs to show off and talk about since a lot of them have stories related to my family or my life. I also just wanted share with you some aspects of Lao culture, including Lao language and music. I worked with my mom on figuring out how to talk about everything in Lao since I wanted to challenge myself. Lol it was kind of a struggle. There's also not really a romanized version of Lao so I tried my best. 😅 There are embedded subtitles in the video with English translations and also if you click CC. The music in this video consists of of three songs, Dok Boua Tong (Lotus flower), Dok Champa (Champa flower), Kulap Pakse (Rose of Pakse), that I arranged for piano. I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for watching!
Love, Belinda 💕

Are those buttons at the back of some of the blouses? Did you button them yourself??
Most of the time I can button them myself, sometimes I have my mom help me. 😊

Yes! Laos and Thailand are neighboring countries so they share a lot of language and cultural similarities!

@@tamchianghou4397 I see, that's cool! I'm not that great at speaking Lao since there aren't many resources in the US. Hopefully you'll have better luck and with the other languages you'd like to learn!
