- This video describes the working of different safety devices used in rope haulage system in the belowground mines. Safety Devices are very important to be used in our mines, so as to prevent any accident that may occur due to rope haulage system.
There are many types of safety devices but the video covers only those devices which are mostly used in our mines.

Why back catch is also called monkey catch ? PLZZ answer
if i try to relate the concept behind this device and actual monkey catcher......in monkey catcher there is a cage and as the monkey gets into the cage,the door shuts down and monkey is now unable to move out of the cage.....in the similar manner in back catch, tubs cross the catch portion and get into the cage in the shaft and now during its movement in backward way it's no more able to move.....I think due to this similarity it's called monkey catch.
