To my eye, the current X shaped bus routes seem to be better used as tram routes, and then each of the legs of the X's having an internal bus route just to get people around in that small area, and then to/from the tram stop as needed. The current bus stops just don't seem very convenient to most people.
Definitely need more parking, remember you unlocked underground parking but haven’t used it yet. Also check the other schools, looks like people from other districts came over before you set the operating districts
The roundabout you fixed with the extra lanes now has no way for people to cross over into the other lanes (The ones on the right of when you're looking at the ones coming off the highway) ☺
20:48 Love how raw sewage was apparently flowing beneath the roadway up onto the bridge then just pouring out and landing like ungodly rain into the treatment plant below.
Dear Biffa, Extra settling plants (18:18) do not increase sewage capacity. but decrease the amount of raw sewege expelled into water stream. PS love your city. way to go Mayor/Engineer/Developer Biffa
Genuinely curious why Biffa is using normal parking lots in some of the locations over using bigger parking garages for the urban area. Overall it's looking good though, I'm excited to see the entire city section being completed.
That bit where you could tell the game this is a park where they can walk wherever is what I really missed in CS1. Need to get this game - when I have a new pc for it …
in stead of having pedestrian bridges all over, how about putting all your pedestrian paths around the center square, making the entire square a pedestrian only area. That way people can go into parks, and cross from one quarter of the new area to another area.
You should try and recreate the Barcelona "Superblock" concept next. Rather than having vehicular access to each and every block, you create a super block, which is pedestrian/public transport only internally, with vehicular traffic limited to the outer block.
Id love to see more trees around the buildings and streets to replicate the need of shadow, that also cools down the area. More use of the underground parking for a cleaner look and of course a central park area.
Hi Biffa, I've been watching your traffic fixes basically non-stop these past few days and I absolutely LOVE them. I've never wanted to get a game for myself this bad before - but I'm currently not in a position where I can buy a gaming computer/laptop. Until I get one I'll just keep watching your videos :) Cheers!
Gotta say, this build is great. I really like the way it feels like its old but but has kept up with the times, and the parks look like old buildings were knocked down for the new bus lanes
The three horses could be worked into the name of the area. Maybe Equine Meadows or something? The area next to the new outdoor theater looks like a great place to add a college/university and a park that could connect across Sterling Street with a path that runs along the stream that's there.
I noticed one of the main roads you clicked on was called "Birdsong street." You should make that road treelined to give the impression that its a little sanctuary for some little birds:)
Could you please build more footy pitches, community centres, basketball courts or generally more places for your citizens to exercise? They should be loads of places for organized sports.
Before Biffa got distracted, he was going to say this: "Welcome back to Cities: Skylines 2, in our new downtown district in the city of... New Brewburgh!"
Thank you for reminding me of the humpback bridges. I was going so crazy with Traffic and Road Builder that I forgot about the basic stuff you can do in the base game...
When the sip of tea gif appears, but without the clattering spoon sound effect, I find my mind fills with the sound effect from the 1960's Batman series.🦇
I think that the Summer Theatre should point the other way. Currently, the lights are pointed directly at the residential tower across the street, which the residents would probably not be thrilled about. If you turn it around, the lights are facing away from the buildings, *and* the audience gets a nice view of the trees by the river in the background. Sure, somebody in the buildings could see what was going on on stage if they wanted, but for Shakespeare In The Park type performances, that really wouldn't be a problem.
Biffa, I was thinking that one of those diagonal areas where you put in the mixed-use commercial/residential around the 7:30 mark could be a nice place for a plaza area. You've already got a bus stop on what would be the back side of the plaza.
I might be wrong but it feels like such population density could use more bus and tram stops, and possibly they'd get used a lot more! I know in real life people hate walking too far, and queuing up at a full bus stop
Hi Biffa! Love your videos! Would you ever consider making a series about building a city in the likes of Barcelona? I find you have really good taste and it would be amazing to see it come to life in CS2 😄
I love listening to you as you build the city. It is so relaxing, I almost fell asleep while holding my tea 😂 My mom and I are out camping and I found the only wifi just to watch your latest upload ❤
@Biffa At 7:24. With the move-it mod you can equalize heights of nodes like CS1. Select the node to move and select Crtl+h and click the desired node for that height..
You should consider adding more parking in this new area as there are a lot of people parking on the street. Another thing could be a direct subway line between this area and the old one. That way, there are less cars are the road commuting between the areas making it smoother for the goods to be transported.
Loving the show as ever Biffa. Just a suggestion. When you replace a sewage outfall pipe like that, it would be more "realistic" to put the treatment works in its place. Tucked in almost under the bridge like that, the site is perfect. You can see a disguised plant in Folkestone where the raw sewage outfall to the sea was replaced a few years back. 51°10'05.10" N, 1°10'05.10"E, Google Earth has a pic from the coastal path.
Biffa, when you move development to the river you should make and old town not efficient for cars and not much parking with very dens housing. Maybe on the island on the river some historic building. Well just some ideas, love your vids keep it up.
One thing i notice with asymmetrical - sometimes it betters to have the asymmetrical coming away from the round about - eg two road off the round about and one onto....and do some magic with lane connector.
According to me when you are creating newer developments, it is better to populate the areas closer to the transit depot rather than at the opposite end. Seems more logical
It would be cool in some of the open spaces to do a trail park with bridges and tunnels made with the walking paths. We have them all over my city, and it's so nice and attracts bikers and hikers.
Biffa! Another great presentation and another great city in process. Perhaps I should have commented earlier in your process but how would you feel about pedestrian roads / attractions / parks around the cathedral and making the vehicle roads one block out all the way around. I think it would make it feel more like a center of tourism and culture with pedestrians milling about.
Hello Biffa. I suggest that this district should be known as Cateadral District. Since it's Notre-Dame it could be Sanctea Mary. Yeah it looks weird anyway Have a good day.
i love your videos and it's interesting seeing the difference between american and european city building. as a brit i would design my cities considerably different but i love seeing how the other half lives hahaha
Don‘t you think it’s a bit weird to have the ring theater facing towards the high rise buildings? To me as a guest of the theater it would be much nicer to have the far reaching view on the opposite side.
When starting parks around bus lines saw a bunch of people going out to tram . That connection I see it's going to be used a lot as you get to other side.
@BiffaPlaysIndieGames How about the district name "Steallion Creek"? as there's a creek beside the district, and a tribute to the horseception. 😂😂 Or "Montea Cavallo" after the real Monte Cavallo (Horse Mountain), Italy. Again a tea themed name, with a nod to the horses. 😂
This is an awesome build. It looks very European. I need to figure out how to make grids that don't breakup the zoning. most of the time I end up with what looks like a tile that has been smashed with a hammer. very frustrating. Thank you for the VOD. 🥃🥃
Biffa: Do you have a link to your playlist/playset for this game? I've been having lots of trouble with mods not showing up, not functioning, no UI associated with them, so I want to make sure I only have mods that work, like you seem to. Thanks!
02:00: The highway seems a bit higher than the surface streets. I would have investigated using an underpass. Lane Connector tool works on roundabouts now?
Those urban elementary schools are pulling kids from other areas. I would set them so they only pull from the high density zones around the school. You should only need 1 if you do it correctly.
Honestly CS2 seems to have just made every other car WILL do something silly, I haven't counted but it genuinely feels like every 2nd car WILL 100% do something dodgy right as they get to a junction... Please stop saying "sometimes" I know your just as frustrated as the rest of us XDD
The high rise at the end of the city tour was on fire. For some reason that cracked me up.
Yeah I left that in the timelapse for the eagle eyed viewers ;-)

Definitely need more parking, remember you unlocked underground parking but haven’t used it yet. Also check the other schools, looks like people from other districts came over before you set the operating districts
It feels like you are having much more fun ever since the economy and detailer's patches, which is nice to see
cs2 is definitely becoming the game we all wanted it to be, major props to the devs

exactly my though when i watched the video ^^
Oh, yah, correct, I forgot.
30:22 Fire the untamed element has taken control of the building
Perfect ending, with a highrise on fire
I thought I was the only one 😂
Genuinely curious why Biffa is using normal parking lots in some of the locations over using bigger parking garages for the urban area. Overall it's looking good though, I'm excited to see the entire city section being completed.
Less parking means fewer cars on the road. If you place parking the game sees it as you want cims to drive
That bit where you could tell the game this is a park where they can walk wherever is what I really missed in CS1. Need to get this game - when I have a new pc for it …

Extreme car overload? MORE HUGE HIGHWAYS.

Just make more public transport options and make it work flawlesly. There wont be demand for cars, only for public services.
At 30:28 you can casually see one of the big buildings on fire or having smoke come out of it, normal day in the city
you know i still find it funny how you basicaly set up those bose roads like a tramline system, and have the trams running like buses
27:05 you should build some roads leading underground and placing some underground parking
Those overground parking has upgread to be higher btw you can use that to have more parking cars in one place

Cycling is not in CS2 yet, they're working on it (apparently)
