If you ride somebody else's bike you are responsible for anything that happens. Doesn't matter if its close to being clapped or fresh off the floor. You fuck it up you make it right. Borrowed a friends bike for a ride and unfortunately it seized up while I was riding. Felt bad about it but made it right by getting him a wrench rabbit rebuild kit. In this situation though the key and title for collateral to get the money for damages was the best way to settle it.
First off the highchair jump was fucking sick. Buuut, product of the game. Never let another person ride your bike unless your willing to accept the negative consequences. He shouldn't have let him ride the bike. Yes, homie that crashed should do what he's able to to pay back the damages but, by no means should the other guy have control over dudes fz. It was his decision to let him ride his crispy 03/04. I had a buddy loop my FZ07 and bend the forks and I ate the 600$ for new forks because I knew I made the conscious decision to let him wheelie my bike. In the end dont let people ride ur bike unless your aware of the consequences.
Agree with the final agreement. But he also said ok to him to stunt ride it and should've known there's a chance he could crash it. If it was my friend I would just take the loss but a friend would also put forth effort to help me fix it.
Straight up I would NOT stunt someone else's bike if I couldn't afford to potentially have to replace parts if I go down. Crashing comes with the territory and you should always anticipate what might happen if something goes wrong. That being said, I would NEVER attempt any new tricks on someone else's bike. Especially if I just came off a grom to a big bike. Also, the fz and the 636 are completely different animals so you may wanna use caution even if you're doing tricks you are otherwise comfortable with. That's my 2 cents anyway. No judgement just a statement.
If I switch bikes with anybody, it's unspoken rule, if one goes down the out rider ain't out. Homie that went down is... at least until the downed bike is repaired
My friend had to pay $6k to get his bike out of impound bc his plate that a "friend" gave him was stolen. Even though the bike wasnt stolen the plate he was using before his DMV appointment was stolen. $6,000! it was in there for like 2 days!
Pretty simple... If ur “trying” to sell a bike , you don’t let ANYONE ride it , knowing if they crash it without cash in had or trying to buy it..it YOUR fault because you LET them ride it... but at the end of the day , don’t let anyone ride ur bike.. cause if somebody fucks it up , all you get is a “sorry bro” & a shoulder shrug like this “🤷🏽♂️” at the same time. OR you could take FULL RESPONSIBILITY & take the L because YOU let the person ride it when you could of easily said no to avoid this exact situation we are debating on right now..lol.🤷🏽♂️
Agree completely. Tbh he should have just told the kid he has to buy the bike now and to pay it off in payments since he had no money in hand. And it does really suck but I understand him wanting the key and title until he pays for the damages bc let’s be honest, if he just said please pay me soon bro and took nothing from the kid he probably wouldn’t ever see a dime bc of Egos.
@@TheBombgardener I look at it like this..if someone ask to ride my bike, I look at it like them saying “can I fuck your girlfriend?... Lol hell no. . I don’t trust people enough to ride my bike & then something happen & you get the “🤷🏽♂️sorry bro”... Lol nah kid , we gotta throw hands.😂🤣🤣
If you lend someone something such as a bike, you have to take in the consequences that come along with that. If you don't have the money to fix it don't let someone borrow it. It's a pretty simple concept, but if I borrow someone's bike and wreck it then yes it's my obligation to pay that persons bike repairs
MY THOUGHTS: I feel sorry for John bc he has a super clean bike that is wrecked and he cant sell, and John doesnt have the cash to give him BUT Derek just bought a new bike, the crash was obviously and accident and John overall allowed Derek to ride his bike. I DONT think John should have taken Dereks brand new bike with him at all. Maybe Derek could get approved for a small loan that day from his bank for like $1500??? something but taking a dudes brand new bike and stunting it all day when your bikes damages are far less expensive seems wrong.
When you let someone ride your bike you take that risk. If I crashed a bike that I rode I would pay to fix it. I’ve had people ask to ride my bike and the first thing i think is, can they afford to fix it if they crash?
Yep hold the key and title for collateral for repairs. That’s only fair because he wrecked the bike and he’s responsible for the damages. Fair is fair. ✊
I had a friend crash my gsxr1000 and after 2 years of waiting to be paid I went to his house and took his car, sold it (taking a loss on what I was owed), and called it even. In a different situation I crashed a friends KX450F and ended up coming out of pocket $4000 for another bike because the frame was cracked. When you crash other peoples shit you gotta pay. It’s unfortunate but accidents happen and you gotta handle it like an adult. Even if that means losing your new bike or going broke paying for it.
I would still ride the bike even if I couldn’t afford the damages I just wouldn’t do any stunts and definitely not try a stunt I never done before. As to what I’d do, probably the same thing he did.
Yoo Dank! Just a quick question, why didn’t you just dip out on that 1000cc while on the highway? I mean we both know you easily could have, but I wanted to know why you chose not too.
I had plenty of seat time on the bike beforehand to know it wasn’t much faster then the cruiser if all all. They most likely had more police waiting down the highway for people that ran and the bike had a dented gas tank and I wasn’t confident to push it with the lack of fuel.
@@Dankwheelie yea that makes perfect sense man, also not knowing the area and shit too, it’s easy to run but it’s hard to pull over and take it on the chin. Love the content lately man keep it up💙
I don’t let people ride my bikes period!!! But, I’d hold his bike as collateral to pay me back, once paid I’d return it to him. Im not a bad guy, so I would be understanding as long as I’m paid back. If you take someone’s bike you’re responsible for said bike point blank.
Honestly if you let someone ride your bike you should be prepared for the worst. I wouldn't ever let someone i dont know well ride/wheelie my bikes. But a friend i know well, i will let ride all day amd if something happens i will chalk it up to the game and if they are willing and able to help fix the damage thats great but not expected. Basically if you let someone ride your bike with no stipulations than dont expect to be paid when it breaks.
Honestly yea taking a guys bike because he crashed yours is pretty petty. The guy should pay you when he can and you asking the question is it okay for him to do that.... wasn't the first half of the video was you loosing a kids bike that you didn't even know and couldn't make amends until a couple years later then you should understand he didn't crash dudes bike on purpose and if you agree with dude why didn't you give the kid your stunt bike when you lost his ?
To be completely honest to. The guy who got his title and key took is clearly not a fighter either and this other guy was just bullying him out of his bike or title because of a accident. A accidents a accident, no shot anyone I know would do that to one of there friends or would let someone do that to them. Yall have a funky circle going on.
I never let people that I've never seen ride or rode with ride my bikes. And I don't let stunt riders ride my bikes. I think it would have been fair to hold the bike until the other guy had the money to pay back for the damage. But at the same time you can't just hand your keys to someone and not accept the fact that they're not going to treat your bike like you do.
This is why I have insurance that covers me if I'm operating somebody else's vehicle. It's like "liability" insurance for me behind the wheel/bars of somebody else's shit. But I would definitely expect to be paid, or have collateral, because if I did it to somebody, they would want the same. But my general rule is, don't ride other people's shit, and I don't let other people ride my shit. 🤷
Lent someone at a lot day my stock 600 and he looped it destroying the fairings, engine case, bars and rear sets, We worked out a deal and went half’s in fairings and he paid for the rest of the parts. Took a minute but he ended up paying up. I think the owner letting someone ride the bike has to take some responsibility for who they let ride the bike. Shit happens at the end of the day. Everyone is out there to have fun.
I assume Derrick and John know each other well enough to be borrowing each other's bikes. That being said, It's both parties' fault. John should've known at least Derrick was feeling big boy 600. And Derrick should've not ride another person's bike, without the money to back it, let alone try a new stunt on it. Derrick needs to pay John back 100%. Somewhere along the aftermath conversation, Derrick didn't give John the reassurance/confidence John needed that Derrick was going to pay it back I'm guessing. So yeah, John was 100% right in taking collateral. If someone wrecked my bike and gave off the impression of "sorry and shrugs" I would do the same as John. Shit happens and it sucks to be in that kind of situation where it could very much kill a friendship but either way, own up to it. My 2 cents.
I do not like to ride or drive anyone else's cars or bikes. I do not want to be held responsible for anything weird or freak accident that might occur. The other guy should have the right to ride the other dudes bike while he gets paid back, imo, but that depends on the relationship between the individuals, I suppose.
Derek should’ve given up the FZ and took the 03/04. He could’ve eventually fixed it, sold it, and got another FZ if that’s what he wanted. But you gotta man up. A stunted 03/04 is worth around the same at a stock FZ07 in todays market. Fair trade if you ask me
Physical therapy will help your finger but you can do it yourself basically just pry it straight as possibly and bend it fully closed and open repeatedly as I cut tenders before and this was what they did afterwards. The bike issue was handled well but I think he should have taken the bike as well as now he doesn’t have anything to ride until dude pays up which is BS but what’s your next progression now your combo into high chairs? That’s a sikkk level up Bro!
My personal feelings is that both parties would be at fault there. Especially if it's a bike you're trying to sell somebody wants to borrow it, it should be with a you break it you buy it understanding and if you can't afford to buy it then just ride your new bike...

Huge reason I dont ride anyone's bike. Regardless if i can pay for it or not. And man my pinky is the same way
Straight up I would NOT stunt someone else's bike if I couldn't afford to potentially have to replace parts if I go down.
Cousin “Derek” has always been a controversial person 🤣🤣🤣
My friend had to pay $6k to get his bike out of impound bc his plate that a "friend" gave him was stolen. Even though the bike wasnt stolen the plate he was using before his DMV appointment was stolen. $6,000! it was in there for like 2 days!
I know damn well I wouldnt be trying a knee stander to spreader on a borrowed bike lol
If you crash it then you replace it. Or parts to get it back to where it was when you rode it un written rule in the UK where I live
Can I ride your bike though?
@@-Mintyy Exactly
Always save ur money because you never know when it's gonna rain.
I thought you never where going to get to the bbq lol
That was a good idea. I agree that will make it fair for both until he pays him.
Ride it like its stolen!
Miss my old clapped out e250 went from a flooring van to a toy hauler to a scrap yard. 😞
i highkey find it sketchy asf ridin on 60 😂
honestly dont try NEW tricks on someone else’s bike, its one thing to ride it but its another to wreck it, i think the end result was extremely fair
You Bend, You Spend!
I’ll give him the key to hold onto, I have a spare😂
Love the content lately man keep it up💙
Want to play, ya got to pay
I don’t let people ride my bikes period!!! But, I’d hold his bike as collateral to pay me back, once paid I’d return it to him. Im not a bad guy, so I would be understanding as long as I’m paid back. If you take someone’s bike you’re responsible for said bike point blank.
18:00 I would say lets split the difference. You can sell my bike to recoup the damages I caused, but I want the change.
You bend it you mend it.... them the rules round my way.
Just make up a payment plan, have it gone through the court.
I think that it's fair that he owns the bike until the money to fix his motorcycle is given to him.
I never let people that I've never seen ride or rode with ride my bikes. And I don't let stunt riders ride my bikes.
I think it would have been fair to hold the bike until the other guy had the money to pay back for the damage. But at the same time you can't just hand your keys to someone and not accept the fact that they're not going to treat your bike like you do.
this is the reason why I dont let other people ride my bike and I never borrow other bikes!
Keep his bike till he pay him back that’s the best thing
My 2 cents.
Chevron or shell for gas???
Wawa
Lesson has been learned here.
Fair trade if you ask me
No bike here but I’d never let someone behind the wheel of my car.
Honestly if you let someone ride your bike you have to accept the risk of them wreaking it, if you do not accept do not let.
It’s a hard situation. The man that let him borrow the bike should assume responsibility for letting someone he maybe didn’t know ride his bike.
I gotcha bro, prayers up for that finger
My personal feelings is that both parties would be at fault there. Especially if it's a bike you're trying to sell somebody wants to borrow it, it should be with a you break it you buy it understanding and if you can't afford to buy it then just ride your new bike...
U break u buy, simple as that, John give back the difference if fz07 worth more than 636
Knowing it was my fault trying something new on someone else bike We’d work something out money wise but fuck no you ain’t getting my bike 😂
