I agree with you about B-Art's style, to me - I've always WANTED to like his stuff but it also was just so sloppy and repetitive that I just couldn't find myself enjoying his stuff. Every once in a while, I'd find something of his okay - but never like this lol this round is fucking INCREDIBLE. And even his last round was good too, but fuck, this format really fits his style to make it the best version of it, anywhere.

the "door shutting" effect that u call it is not mixed in, its called vocal fry technic and he has very good controll over it, he did this sound on gbb stage. soso use this sound alot aswell, the door shutting technic is the vocal fry but sped up by controling it, so he is using the grudge sound but he has controll to speed it up and slow it down as you can see in the video, great reaction btw, keep it up!
Dropical uploaded a video on his chanel where he wrote in the description that the tag team part of his round will not be judged and that he did it just for fun.
The line with the tag teams is a reference to B-Art switching his Tag team partner pretty often. I think he competed in GBB 2016 with Timmeh, in GBB 2018 with Voxel and also has had Tag Teams with Madox Benja and a few others

The part where he said maybe you should be playing with the trumpet and beats have a limit is when dropical use those lines to counter Wing but now, B-Art counters him with his own lines. Saying this just in case you didn't know.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but the 6-6-7 might be a play on a time signature, which is possibly why the time signature is so weird. Pure speculation, because I couldn't find anything online about a "6-6-7" pattern. Only thing I could think of. May have also been just a setup for the hell diss, but who knows. LOL

Apparently doubling your beats up was never against the rules, and David clears the videos he edits with Sxin & Chezame anyway so it's safe to assume it's all good. Bit iffy if you ask me though
B-Art kind of did the same thing none of the sounds sounded like they were recorded at the same moment towards the middle part of the video A lot of it sounded like it was clipped together you could hear no transitions in the different sounds being made
I agree you could for sure tell it wasn’t 1 take, however I will say it sounded amazing because of it, really fit the style of the song, even helium’s round is like this, you can look at his community posts and see just how cut up the actual audio is. I guess what I’m saying is even though it was obviously not 1 take, it wasn’t because of differing audio quality so I still loved it, honestly this is probably my favorite round I’ve heard in a long time!

@@echospace7347 I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. I watch an absolute shit ton of beatboxing and I was like surely those transitions aren't possible in solo on a hot mic. It sounds good the way it's mixed, but their rule was that the routine had to be doable in solo beatboxing, which would then result in deduction in points from both routines imo.
I totally get what you were saying about Dropical’s first diss, but I do disagree. The reason I personally liked it is because I think it’s ALSO a diss to the exact same thing you attested to, which is that people always do a whole bit about snatching b-art’s cap anytime they battle him (like remix for example), and that line from dropical also felt like a diss to those people for lacking originality.
he then elaborates that the actual reason he doesn’t want to take the hat off is because he’s balding underneath, followed by the spongebob clip of the fish being blinded by neptune’s bald head. my point here is that these bars don’t work well without context, and a diss against people overusing the cap gag against B-Art seems like a really smooth way to transition into that diss, because your next bar can be about what’s directly underneath his cap
again, totally agree with the sentiment you expressed, but I think it’s possible dropical could’ve been expressing the same sentiment you are with his diss, although I’m totally willing to admit I could also be reading way too far into it 😅

I don’t think it was “stupid” if you watch chez and sxins reaction they mention that Den asked them if he could do the same kind of thing, it’s clear the rules weren’t clear enough around this, which is why they also said they wouldn’t disqualify him for it but instead just not count that part of his round.

I assume he is me, and it’s probably because everyone, including me, is biased. I do my best not to let it affect my final thoughts and call out where my biases are but can only do so much! Also my biases here are i would love dropical way more and ended up living B-Art’s rounds more so?
