The TASM2 theme is hands down my favorite Spider-Man theme of all time. It mixes so many elements of what makes the character so great. Everything about it just screams SPIDER-MAN. I especially love the slowed-down part that plays when he returns to the kid at the end of the movie, something about that scene with the music playing just makes me get so emotional every time I see it. Its a beautiful soundtrack.
I feel the same. Besides, the movies came out at a really hard time in my life and they had a huge impact on me. Now every time I see something about TASM movies I wanna cry a little lol.
Its weird because this theme is more nostalgic to me even if I watched the tobey maguire one first. I think its because for TASM2 I watched It at like age 7 or 9 so I remember more than if I was 6 and I understand more things in this song and also the movie was a truely incredible experience
Nope it doesnt scream spiderman at all which is why the best Spidermans theme is Horners without a doubt. He put so much more heart into his theme while TASM2 just sounds generic and less like a theme that describes a character.
Every time I hear the MCU spiderman theme, it reminds me of how incredible it is that he's a part of it. For nearly a decade he wasn't and nowadays we take it for granted that he's in it, but every time I hear the opening to that theme it reminds me that he's "home". Homecoming might not be the best spiderman movie, especially in the MCU, but for what it meant to see him in a wider world bigger than just himself, it always has a special place in my heart
homecoming is definitely the best mcu spider-man movie. I write a multi-paragraph on why I think it's nearly perfect but I doubt anyone on youtube cares, not that I blame them.
Danny Elffman's Peter Parker theme is honestly a masterpiece. I think he perfectly captured what makes spiderman different from every other super hero. It's that Spiderman isn't the hero. Peter Parker his. Simply standing up and doing the right thing because you have the responsibility to do so. No matter what it makes you sacrifice. It's what makes Peter Parker so altruistic. Elffman's Peter Parker theme is just so unbelievably heroic and tragic and ugh it's amazing.
"But regardless if which is your favourite, I think its important to remind ourselves that each version of this character was created by passionate artists." That's all I needed to hear...
I love how the opening of the Elfman theme evokes the feeling of a spider crawling up a wall. Side note: I do wish you included the James Horner theme as that's pretty good too
I had to pick one of the Amazing Spider-Man themes cuz the video simply didn’t work when I tried stuffing two themes into the middle. But that said, I’ve gotten enough requests that I’m considering doing his for a video sometime in the future.
@@artloverivy but since your video is pretty much for the three Spidey’s and it only makes sense to use the James Horner theme because as of NWH it’s become the definitive TASM theme sooooo
@@Nova_Music288 Commentary isn’t something you can just make up. If I’m going to discuss something it’s gotta be because I truly connect with the art and have something to say about it. I’ll probably do Horner’s eventually but for this video I simply had more to say about Zimmer’s 🤷🏻♀️
To me, TASM theme has always been more about mystery than heroism, at least the one in the 1st movie, the 2nd movie theme resembles more an icon, a statue, the image that Spiderman has to the eyes of a citizen. They're well made 👍
The reason why his theme in tasm1 is more mysterious is because that’s how spider-man was in the movie, he was mysterious, nobody really knew who he was yet.
I love how the Tom Holland's theme seems to have an evolution every movie. Like, his theme develops along with him in his journey, from being an inexperienced kid to becoming Spider-Man. His theme represents that really well in my opinion. PS: I really wonder what his theme in the new trilogy will sound like. Hope it keeps evolving along with Peter.
I hope whatever is directing the new spider-man movie, they keep Giacchino as composer. I really like this aspect of the theme getting changed to fit his development as Spiderman. But, if not, i would love to see Tyler Bates bcs of eloquency of Guardians theme, that feels at the same time gradiloquent and self-centered, as Guardians, but also incredibly epic. Guardians theme always feels, to me like "hey, we are the guardians bith* and we will save this Sh*". Like Spider-man always showing self-confidence behind the mask mocking villains, even if he were scared to death behind it.
All of them. All of them are great. The artists behind these amazing piece really did put hardwork behind it. How Tobey's symbolizes his heroism, Andrew's talks about his intelligence and Tom's theme tells us about his evolution from Peter Parker to our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Yesss I didn’t know it but I’ve been waiting for this analysis. I seriously love these three themes so much. They’re so different but capture each spider-man and their story uniquely. The 2002 theme really hits me with nostalgia as well
So, this video made me: 1. Take the Giacchino's theme more seriously then 'an orchestrated version of the theme from the 60s' 2. Remember Hans Zimmer's theme, which was stuck in my mind somewhere but no longer linked to Spiderman, and understand how it added to my liking that first movie so much. 3. Decide that Elfman's theme belongs in my best soundtracks of all time. It's just so complete and although I've listened to it tons, that moment the responsibility theme comes up still never fails to blindside me.
There is a version of the 60s theme turned into a full orchestra, but that’s not the Giacchino theme. It originally started as a fan made composition, but it got so popular they used it in the trailers. But as far as I know, it was never actually in any of the films
People kinda accidentally assumed that Giacchino just used the 60’s theme for MCU Spidey, when in reality the 60’s theme was more just a one-off gag for the opening of Homecoming.
I love the Raimi and Sony Spider-Man themes so much. Both have "that part" (2:53 & 6:18) which really hit and symbolize the ideals which make Spider-Man; Justice, bravery, heroism, and taking a stand against wrong doings to bring a brighter tomorrow because just like the character, it could be anyone behind the mask. Anybody can be a metaphoric Spider-Man.
Andrews theme is definitely my favourite. It encapsulates everything that makes spiderman spiderman, and sounds incredibly cool and badass at the same time
Like I mentioned in the description, I had to pick between Horner and Zimmer and I ultimately picked Zimmer. Who knows though, maybe I’ll grow a bigger appreciation for Horner’s rendition over time and eventually cover it.
@@artloverivy Zimmer is the greatest composer in my opinion, also please could you do a video focusing on interstellar? The music is so good and I love it
Everytime i Re-watch this movie it's always this scene in particular that makes my arm hair stand up, not because i was finally able to see my favorite spider men with each other but the music in the background really gives me this *AMAZING* feeling (pun intended)
The sam raimi spiderman soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks of all time Its just brilliant and it really stands out from all the other spidermen Even all the other super hero movies
The first Spider-Man theme is my all time favorite and not just for nostalgia. The first strings feel like when Peter first gets bitten by the spider, and the percussion feels like when he's climbing on walls for the first time. And then the operatic tones and intense melody that plays over it gives it a sense of power but also danger, bravery and fear. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. The raimi films were a huge part of my childhood and the music still gives me the nostalgic and exciting feel
Wow... just wow... you managed to put into words why I love Zimmer's TASM2 theme so much, and why that theme and that score help make TASM2 my absolute favourite Spider-Man film, in spite of its flaws. Thank you. I also loved how you made your ending captions match with notes of the Giacchino theme. Love that detail.
For me it's like this: MCU Spidey Theme: - Balancing high school life and balancing being a hero. In Holland's universe, he isn't the only hero (avengers etc.) so he has to make his mark and prove that he is worthy being called an Avenger - while balancing his normal life at the same time. Andrew Spidey Theme: - The brilliant mind of Peter Parker and how it ain't easy being spiderman. You will lose a lot of people you value and love in exchange for being a hero. Highlights the complexity of being spider man. Tobey's Spidey Theme: - Iconic, legendary. Highlights Tobey's character as the mature one who will never give up to bring justice to anyone who needs it.
I always thought that the opening bit of Giacchino's theme was more about a tiny spider scurrying up a wall. Those pizzicato strings make it sound like the little critter is excitedly hopping and bouncing up a wall before reaching the top ready to leap and swing away to freedom.
I think it can be both. It has an innocence to it that could be interpreted as a cute little bug, or naive young teenager. If you listen to the ending of the Far From Home suite it has the feeling to it as well.
Elfman/Tobey Maguire’s is just the best of the best. All of the themes are excellent but the Tobey theme just embodies every part of Spider-Man in the best ways.
I could never exactly put into words why I LOVE TASM 2’s theme, but you did. It just makes me inexplicably happy when I hear it, like it’s so motivating but it also makes you feel like everything is gonna be ok in a weird way. It’s like the perfect depiction of hope put into music form. At least imo anyway. It’s literally the perfect hero theme to me.
Si, además el tema de Giachinno te esta contando una historia sobre cómo un chico que solo tenía de aspiración ser un vengador a ser verdadero un héroe
I think what made Giachinno's theme fade to the background somewhat was while Elfman made an Iconic standalone piece in an era where superhero movies were NOT the norm and Zimmer has the name brand recognition, Mcu spiderman is part of the MCU, and on some level its going to blend in with the other amazing scores written for the other MCU heroes because MCU spiderman isnt a lone hero. Even in his own movies he is part of a team, and he's just one hero among many, but despite that Spiderman is still gonna spiderman
@@Aichi1138 Yeah you make a good point. It's easy for the soundtrack to get overshadowed by the almost 30 other MCU movies and 10 series. But I still think that the Spider-Man MCU movies have the best and most stand out soundtracks in the MCU, particularly in No Way Home. The only music that is perhaps more iconic is the Avengers theme. But as a whole soundtrack, No Way Home takes the cake. I have never seen an MCU movie that uses its music to envoke such emotion and gravitas to the same extent as No Way Home. Most MCU movies just have the standard blockbuster soundtrack, it's not that it's bad, its just nothing I'd actually listen to (except when watching said movie obviously). But in No Way Home it truly feels like they used the music to aide the story telling and it has its own personality. To me, that extra level of thought put into the music can really sell the movie and almost ever song in the soundtrack fels like that. It feels like a love letter to the previous two iterations of Spider-Man that also perfected the use of music to elevate its story. Giachinno did an excellent job in my opinion in No Way Home and I think the soundtrack is on par to that of Elfman's and Zimmer's and it is under appreciated.
"Man who works for passion, richer than Man who works for money"- Mr. Miyagi It's not hard to figure out that you are very passionate about this. We don't have superheroes in our world, but people like you who understand deeper meanings, and tire yourselves day after day working on helping others also understand that same sense of heroism you were able to hear from it, are the closest we got. thank you for those hours of work you put into these amazing themes.
I’m so happy this was made! Such a great analysis of each one. Personally, I’ve always been partial to Giacchino’s score, especially the way it slowly built itself up over each film and grew alongside Peter. Such a masterful idea.
It could just be me reaching for things, but I noticed there is a similarity between Andrew Garfield's Spiderman Theme and the Electro Suite, at least in the beginning sections. You could maybe make the comparison that Electro and Spiderman started off their lives very similar ways; intelligent and longing for a purpose in the world of science.
The similarities are very much intentional. One of the most underplayed aspects of Electro in TASM 2 is that he serves as a dark mirror of Spider-Man, accidentally given great power that he didn't ask for. But unlike Spider-Man, he chooses to use his powers to take revenge on the world, because he had no Uncle Ben, in fact, he didn't have anyone. Unfortunately, because Sony decided to chop away literally anything that constituted an actual good movie from TASM 2, this aspect of his character wasn't given enough time to show.
Best Spider-Man video on the internet. You literally took all the words out of my mouth! The music is such a powerful aspect of these films. I’m so glad there are many interpretations of the character physically and musically.
The track Peter Parker picked a perilously precarious profession from No Way Home made me appreciate the MCU theme even more. I walked out of the theaters wanting to repeat the scene again specifically for the music because at that point we all knew we finally got the Spider-Man we all wanted in the MCU!
The MCU theme from No Way Home, specifically the track Arachnoverture, might be my favorite superhero theme. It is so epic and just keeps getting stronger and more urgent as the song goes on.
The analysis of the Zimmer TASM2 theme is so interesting here. It's always been my favourite "Spider-Man" theme, while Elfman's is the GOAT Spidey superhero theme that gets at the soul of the more classic, less jokey character. Oh, and props for using alternate takes from the TASM2 cues to get a deeper listen to the themes.
OK man, you made me cry. What a brilliant idea to do your analysis via subtitles and just let these masterpieces talked by themselves. Great job. This is exactly the way my love for the character infusing my everyday life. Every single version of the character.
great video ivy! i love music analysis like this one, your content's absolutely underrated. now personally, i always saw the themes as all representing a certain trait peter posseses: -elfman's emphasises on peter's strong morals, the promises he made and has no intentions of breaking. what makes spidey a hero basically. -horner's theme focuses on peter's youthfulness, his introvertedness and his mild wimpiness. but even despite all that, he still manages to be the selfless hero he is -zimmer's theme is about how happy he is being spider-man, how he feels helping others. swinging around, throwing quips n' all that. -giacchino's theme shows how peter's not done yet with becoming spider-man, he's still a kid with some little toys and no experience. yet as the origin trilogy progressed, he slowly became more and more like the spider-man we all know. honestly, i can't wait to hear spider-man's theme in the next mcu films, now that peter fully embraced the spider-man identity. the mcu spider-man has everything to become the ultimate version of the character, the most spectacular rendition we have ever seen and ever will see. he'll be amazing, i'm sure of that.
This is hands down the best video I've wanted today... Growing up watching all these different versions of Spider-Man, getting inspired by the way Andrew creates his own web shooters, to feeling relatable to Tom's Peter Parker, I love every aspect of this character...
To me, each theme makes me imagine different aspects of Spider-Man's swinging. Elfman's score sounds like Peter running and jumping from rooftops; Zimmer's theme sounde like Spidey free-falling from a skyscraper to swing at the last minute; and Giaccino's is the one that most easily makes me imagine Spider-Man swinging.
First I learned the ways of how artists have made spider man themes amazing and second I’m completely mind blown just from the fact that the same people have also turned their work of art into a story, thank you for teaching me this now I’m impressed
This is a such a great video, without even mentioning the fact that each film in the OG trilogy incorporates the villain's motif halfway through the intro theme, just pure musical genius in my eyes.
wtf man this video.... is ... i cant even write it down with words. The timing with the music.. with the pictures with the lyrics omg is the best and also the lyrics is so good omg you really tell us what the music is really about.. I cried at the end tbh. Thank you!
The MCU Spider-Man’s music by Michael Giacchino is pretty underrated. I love it a little more than the music for Insomniac’s Spider-Man because that video game went hard for the villains like Mr. Negative and Doc Ock, but it wasn’t too epic for Spider-Man himself. It was just emotional and chill, which is fine, but I kind of wanted to hear more of a distinctive epicness. What I especially love about the MCU Spider-Man music is how it evolves along with the character throughout the trilogy, and it peaks in No Way Home. When I think of MCU Spider-Man, I think of an epic story about an underdog pushing through his greatest challenges that end with consequences (Homecoming’s consequence was Peter’s crush, Liz Allen, moving away; Far From Home’s consequence was the post-credit scene, where Mysterio frames Spider-Man as the bad guy and reveals his identity to the world; No Way Home’s consequence was Peter literally losing everything), but he still moves forward with optimism.
You say that insomniac needed more epicness but you like the homecoming score? That’s like saying a particular movie needed to be cooler but you like tellitubbies
@@TheRealRiptide01 Just because this version of the character is a kid, it doesn’t mean that his movies are exclusively for kids. They’re just more family friendly. The original Homecoming score encapsulates a youthful teenager who has a good heart but is still learning, and as his story continues, he gets more and more experienced, becoming like the other versions of Spider-Man. As he matures, his music matures and gets more epic. This is just my argument and opinion supported by valid points, while yours is ignorant, stupid, selfish, and doesn’t take into consideration of anyone else’s feelings.
@@harshadlakhorkar383 Okay, whatever. Why are so many fans into the “There can be only one” mindset with a good Spider-Man movie, a good version of the character, and good music for the character?
Amazing video as always, your words perfectly encapsulate why i love the 3 spider-men's themes, Tobey's Tragedy, Responsibility, and Willingness to save people at any cost, Andrew's Intelligence, Heroism, Bravery, and Compassion, and Tom's youth, and Responsiblity. They're all wonderful themes, to accompany wonderful spider-men
i like how the Spider-Man, batman and superman themes contrast to eachother, regardless of their adaptations because they give you the same mood when you hear them. All of them hype you in different ways, because they're all EPIC. Batman's theme is intimidating and powerful. Spider-Man's theme is thrilling and emotional. Superman's theme is majestic and breathtaking.
i would love a video seeing the similarities and differences the three composers, Elfman, Zimmer and Giaccino did on Spider-man and Batman. I just find it really cool how the same three composers managed to compose for the two best superheroes. Love the vid btw keep it up
I know it's basically heresy with how beloved the Elfman theme is, but Giacchino's theme is my absolute favorite. I love the way it's evolved over Peter's journey in the MCU. In Homecoming it was so whimsical which felt in line with the focus on his high school life. By the end of No Way Home it's totally matured just like Peter. Absolutely brilliant composition.
Ngl bro these themes make me tear up when I listen to them. They are just so powerful to me and I love the character so much and everything he stands for. The way the music makes me think and portrays the character is something truly special
Why this video is a masterpiece for me: Plays every movies soundtrack and literally explains along the way without disturbing the beautiful flow of the music. Everything we feel is written on the screen, and thus GOOSEBUMPS.
Holy Crap, dude! I didn't think I could love the Spider-Man themes anymore than I already did, then I saw the video and you just put all my thoughts into words! You're the real masterpiece, Thank you!
I finally got what made The Amazing Spider-Man motif feel so different to me! It sounds like it's in the middle of something that's already happening (it also plays in the middle of the song). Just how Spider-Man goes to action right in the middle of what the villains are doing! He starts taking care of Connors some time since he got used to being The Lizard, same thing with Max! The theme reflects Spider-Man appearing in the middle of something that's been happening for at least a while, usually when the villains' plan takes action
The amazing spider-man, and the orignal trilogy were my childhood. I remember watching the first amazing spider-man in cinemas with my family and it was a great. Hearing their themes once again and learning about the little nuances of each theme almost brings a tear to my eye.
Dude, you created this video like it was NOTHING. You described every part of the song in a way everyone could understand and made my love for spider-man grow. I'm dropping a sub!
I've never looked too deep into the many themes of Spider-Man but I've always noticed the most obvious things but this video is just amazing. Reading the captions while listening to the themes adds a whole new level to it. Love it and I hope to see more!
The transitions from theme to theme were done so brilliantly, especially between Elfman’s and Zimmer’s. I honestly couldn’t tell the themes were different until the Amazing Spider-Man logo showed up. Probably would’ve helped if I had listened to the themes individually beforehand 😂, but my praise still stands 😊. I always loved how in Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man’s theme is intersected with Venom’s theme and Sandman’s theme. Sends chills down my spine every time 😆.
@@ProbablyUltraman I think I managed to find it. It’s called Picking Up Where We Left Off and it’s the opening sequence for TASM 2. Here’s a link: th-cam.com/video/TH-AYRe0Lxo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TptGWU0g9SurqMR4 It’s slower than in the above video but I’m 99% sure it’s the right one.
I love Zimmer's theme and your interpretation of it. I wish one day you'd do a video on Promises by James Horner from the ending of the first TASM. It channelled the sense of responsibility found in Elfman's theme while feeling very unique too. It rose slowly as Peter suffered from his promise to Captain Stacey, and reached a crescendo as he swung into the night as Spider-Man. To me, it gives a different emotion to responsibility than Elfman's. Elfman's was melancholic, dramatic, powerful, and mature. Horner's felt youthful, energetic, fast, and hopeful. Its like the sense of pride and relief once you did the right thing by being responsible. It's just amazing.
Love this. It's great to see so much love for the TASM scores. I've also really come to appreciate Giacchino's work on Spidey in recent years, especially after his theme was taken to soaring heights in NWH. There's a Peter and the Wolf quality to the Homecoming score that I really like. Thank you for helping me see these themes in a new light!

👍
Its weird because this theme is more nostalgic to me even if I watched the tobey maguire one first. I think its because for TASM2 I watched It at like age 7 or 9 so I remember more than if I was 6 and I understand more things in this song and also the movie was a truely incredible experience
Nope it doesnt scream spiderman at all which is why the best Spidermans theme is Horners without a doubt. He put so much more heart into his theme while TASM2 just sounds generic and less like a theme that describes a character.
For me TASM 1 theme is miles better than the TASM 2 theme
2:52 is what defined Spider-Man and the concept of superheroes for me. Masterpiece

Ami tambien es el mejor tema sin duda es muy clasico y moderno a al vez
Homecoming is very good tho
Homecoming is extremely good, though
homecoming is definitely the best mcu spider-man movie. I write a multi-paragraph on why I think it's nearly perfect but I doubt anyone on youtube cares, not that I blame them.
Homecoming is a GREAT Spider-Man movie. One of the best. And easily the best MCU Spidey film.
2:41 Indeed.🤩
"But regardless if which is your favourite, I think its important to remind ourselves that each version of this character was created by passionate artists." That's all I needed to hear...
I love how the opening of the Elfman theme evokes the feeling of a spider crawling up a wall.
Side note: I do wish you included the James Horner theme as that's pretty good too
I had to pick one of the Amazing Spider-Man themes cuz the video simply didn’t work when I tried stuffing two themes into the middle. But that said, I’ve gotten enough requests that I’m considering doing his for a video sometime in the future.
The symbiote suit theme in Spider-Man 3 is also fire
@@artloverivy but since your video is pretty much for the three Spidey’s and it only makes sense to use the James Horner theme because as of NWH it’s become the definitive TASM theme sooooo
@@Nova_Music288 Commentary isn’t something you can just make up. If I’m going to discuss something it’s gotta be because I truly connect with the art and have something to say about it. I’ll probably do Horner’s eventually but for this video I simply had more to say about Zimmer’s 🤷🏻♀️
@@artloverivy fair enough.
To me, TASM theme has always been more about mystery than heroism, at least the one in the 1st movie, the 2nd movie theme resembles more an icon, a statue, the image that Spiderman has to the eyes of a citizen.
They're well made 👍
Completely agree.
Eh
@@jackwenn_9693 L
Completely agree!!! I love all Spider-Man movies but especially Andrew Garfield's!
They're so underrated and Andrew is so good as Spider-Man!!!
And he made one of the best classic suits
I hope whatever is directing the new spider-man movie, they keep Giacchino as composer. I really like this aspect of the theme getting changed to fit his development as Spiderman. But, if not, i would love to see Tyler Bates bcs of eloquency of Guardians theme, that feels at the same time gradiloquent and self-centered, as Guardians, but also incredibly epic. Guardians theme always feels, to me like "hey, we are the guardians bith* and we will save this Sh*". Like Spider-man always showing self-confidence behind the mask mocking villains, even if he were scared to death behind it.
That part in no way home when he’s kissing mj and the choir just kicks in full force is such an incredible moment it’s crazyyy
It’s still boring imo
It Evolves and in NWH we hear the Sad Slow Part from this. NWH was perfect. Best Movie of Phase 4.
The 2002 theme really hits me with nostalgia as well
All of these songs are a masterpiece because they fit Spiderman so well, and they represent his character perfectly.
So, this video made me:
1. Take the Giacchino's theme more seriously then 'an orchestrated version of the theme from the 60s'
That’s quite the checklist 😂
There is a version of the 60s theme turned into a full orchestra, but that’s not the Giacchino theme. It originally started as a fan made composition, but it got so popular they used it in the trailers. But as far as I know, it was never actually in any of the films
Zimmer's theme wasn't in the first Amazing Spider-Man though, it was a completely different theme by James Horner
People kinda accidentally assumed that Giacchino just used the 60’s theme for MCU Spidey, when in reality the 60’s theme was more just a one-off gag for the opening of Homecoming.
@@cideofsacae personally I think horner's theme is better
I love the Raimi and Sony Spider-Man themes so much. Both have "that part" (2:53 & 6:18) which really hit and symbolize the ideals which make Spider-Man; Justice, bravery, heroism, and taking a stand against wrong doings to bring a brighter tomorrow because just like the character, it could be anyone behind the mask. Anybody can be a metaphoric Spider-Man.

How is that underrated when everyone talks about it, bruh
Everytime i Re-watch this movie it's always this scene in particular that makes my arm hair stand up, not because i was finally able to see my favorite spider men with each other but the music in the background really gives me this *AMAZING* feeling (pun intended)
My favourite part of the Raimi theme is the build up to the “web swinging theme”
In “No Way Home”, Giacchino utilizes Dies Irae (day of wrath) when Peter is fighting one of the villains. It’s subtle but masterfully done.
The sam raimi spiderman soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks of all time
Its just brilliant and it really stands out from all the other spidermen
Even all the other super hero movies
Why are your videos a masterpiece?
because you are able to find so many emotions and meanings in a song
MY RESPECTS
The first Spider-Man theme is my all time favorite and not just for nostalgia. The first strings feel like when Peter first gets bitten by the spider, and the percussion feels like when he's climbing on walls for the first time. And then the operatic tones and intense melody that plays over it gives it a sense of power but also danger, bravery and fear. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. The raimi films were a huge part of my childhood and the music still gives me the nostalgic and exciting feel
Wasn't expecting to get emotional from this but the end got me. "....into masterpieces." With all 3 Spider-men. Great stuff.
Wow... just wow... you managed to put into words why I love Zimmer's TASM2 theme so much, and why that theme and that score help make TASM2 my absolute favourite Spider-Man film, in spite of its flaws. Thank you.
I also loved how you made your ending captions match with notes of the Giacchino theme. Love that detail.
Thanks for the praise! I’m very glad you enjoyed the video 💖
For me it's like this:
MCU Spidey Theme:
- Balancing high school life and balancing being a hero. In Holland's universe, he isn't the only hero (avengers etc.) so he has to make his mark and prove that he is worthy being called an Avenger - while balancing his normal life at the same time.
Andrew Spidey Theme:
- The brilliant mind of Peter Parker and how it ain't easy being spiderman. You will lose a lot of people you value and love in exchange for being a hero. Highlights the complexity of being spider man.
Tobey's Spidey Theme:
- Iconic, legendary.
People may have their personal favorite Spider-Man, but there is no “best”. They are equally amazing and all unique.
0:07 Tobey's theme
3:43 Andrew's theme
7:35 Tom's theme
I could never exactly put into words why I LOVE TASM 2’s theme, but you did. It just makes me inexplicably happy when I hear it, like it’s so motivating but it also makes you feel like everything is gonna be ok in a weird way. It’s like the perfect depiction of hope put into music form. At least imo anyway. It’s literally the perfect hero theme to me.
Danny Elfman's theme for Tobey's Spiderman will always be my favorite
Tobey's Spiderman is just memorable...
Michael Giachino's theme is criminally underrated.
As much as Danny Elfman’s is epic and heroic, I really think Giachinno’s theme is really underrated, especially in No Way Home with the added vocals
Idk man, for some reason the nwh theme feels like a rip off from elfmans theme.
@@SaelMyt It’s actually basically directly taken from opening melody from Ravel’s Op. 35: 2

It's not hard to figure out that you are very passionate about this.
5:10 the theme song reminds me of the morning news on tv, feels cool and warm, feels broad and intellectual
Also that ending to it is too good
Andrew’s theme has always been my favorite! It’s nostalgic to me cause his movies came out when I was just getting into Spider-Man
Finally. After 2 months. A video about 3 masterpiece is uploaded.
Bro, the electric guitar part in TASM2 it's just AMAZING, INCREDIBLE
RIGHT??
OK man, you made me cry. What a brilliant idea to do your analysis via subtitles and just let these masterpieces talked by themselves. Great job. This is exactly the way my love for the character infusing my everyday life. Every single version of the character.
great video ivy! i love music analysis like this one, your content's absolutely underrated.
now personally, i always saw the themes as all representing a certain trait peter posseses:
-elfman's emphasises on peter's strong morals, the promises he made and has no intentions of breaking. what makes spidey a hero basically.
-horner's theme focuses on peter's youthfulness, his introvertedness and his mild wimpiness. but even despite all that, he still manages to be the selfless hero he is
-zimmer's theme is about how happy he is being spider-man, how he feels helping others. swinging around, throwing quips n' all that.
The ending got me tearing up :’) ty for the vid and analysis
First I learned the ways of how artists have made spider man themes amazing and second I’m completely mind blown just from the fact that the same people have also turned their work of art into a story, thank you for teaching me this now I’m impressed
That ending quote was just so meaningful and true. Every Spiderman is great on it's own way and how they were shown so different makes it perfect.

I literally got emotional at the end hearing the perfect mashup of all these themes and your commentary. Thank you for this lovely work!
Love how you talk when the notes start in your commentary at the end. Shows you're good at this
The MCU Spider-Man’s music by Michael Giacchino is pretty underrated.
You just spit so many facts. Couldn’t have said it better myself. Giacchino’s Spidey scores and the MCH Spidey in general are so underrated
Danny elfman is best ok
@@harshadlakhorkar383 Okay, whatever. Why are so many fans into the “There can be only one” mindset with a good Spider-Man movie, a good version of the character, and good music for the character?
Amazing video as always, your words perfectly encapsulate why i love the 3 spider-men's themes, Tobey's Tragedy, Responsibility, and Willingness to save people at any cost, Andrew's Intelligence, Heroism, Bravery, and Compassion, and Tom's youth, and Responsiblity. They're all wonderful themes, to accompany wonderful spider-men

i would love a video seeing the similarities and differences the three composers, Elfman, Zimmer and Giaccino did on Spider-man and Batman.

Aww that’s so kind, thank you.
Danny Elfman's soundtrack is for sure has been the most impactful and influential in my life personally, ever

Thank you for combining these amazing songs together to beautifully
Elfman's theme gives the feeling of a hero climbing up a building before going for a swing.
6:58 this is the best decision of any music composer EVER
