I saw the notification and had to watch! Clayman is a great album, but currently in the CD player in my car I'm blasting Reroute To Remain! Really like your bass tone!
This was awesome and inspiring! When Meet Your Maker came out, I watched your reaction and was reminded how great In Flames is. I listened to them a lot in high school (2001-2005), but completely ignored everything after Clayman. I recently decided to do a deep dive and listen to all of their albums. I expected to burn out quickly, but it's been a blast. In Flames has become one of my favorite bands again. Clayman is still my favorite album, but Forgone is fantastic and I was surprised that I absolutely love their post-clayman work. Just such a great band that I won't underestimate again!
I'm getting more into In Flames now (like so many others) because of Foregone. So happy for you that you are having fun with learning bass again! The podcast with Anders was freaking cool too!
So fuckin good man! I never learned any instruments as I've always leaned more on the singing aspect. But your video made me wanna growl my as off to your bass tone. Did have to hold myself back as I'm currently on work, lol. Great playing! There's so many classic songs off of Clayman, but "Satellites and Astronauts" is my favourite if I have to choose one. Would love to see you give that at go to! :D
I relate so much, I only have 1 electric guitar, but don't want to have it all the way down in c/drop a# because I like playing stuff in standard. I've resorted to playing e standard In Flames lol
This was the first song I heard of In Flames. I got my hands on a shitty 128mb mp3 player and along with the other 11 songs there was this master piece and it blew me away, In Flames we trust!
What many bassists do including myself is take the BEAD strings from a 5 string pack and put them on a 4 string. I prefer the thinner neck of a 4 string over a 5 string.
Now is this "Pinball Map" or "Bullet Ride"? Either way it's fookin dope and I can't wait for my brother to finally see some of your covers and learning experiences!
@@TankTheTech Always happy to help, whoever and however I can :) Just blasted your reaction to "Rivers Of Nihil - The Void From Which No Sound Escapes", by the way. Interesting stuff...
Well dude, I'm impressed! You should give yourself a little bit more credit. You're a better player than you think you are. Reading incorrect tabs to start, and 30 minutes later you can play through the full song with the recording. Keep practicing and you'll be as good as Geddy Lee or Marko Hietala. Two very different bassists who are both excellent. I have faith in you!
Yeah, I'm aware. I just think it's funny that they call it "official" when in reality, like you said, it's just someone that works for Ultimate Guitar Tabs doing it, and they haven't gotten confirmation as to whether it's right or not. Haha
@@TankTheTech right I understand for sure just making sure anyone who doesn't know was aware lol That's why I like sheet happens alot because they actually work with the artists on the tab books to make sure they are correct
Sweet bass dude. I’m in the market for a 5 string, I’ve been playing my Thunderbirds and Charvel San Dimas, those two are my main axes. But was wanting to branch out into the Stingray, but don’t know much about them. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the QC of the mid range priced. How’s the neck feel? I’m a 4 string player, I don’t wanna be holding a baseball bat neck 😂
@@TankTheTech for sure. I’ve seen tabs uploaded by users that were way better than the official, and vice-versa. Like you said - the tab is a good starting point.
One of my all time favorite songs by in flames! Actually met Anders in Stockholm this sunday for a QnA and limited Vinyl of Foregone, humble flex 🤘

Got my new In Flames pre order bundle on release day. Another amazing record from my all time favorite band.

This album is my favorite of their whole discography. Great choice!
That tone is god damn killing
This was especially fun. Love in Flames and the glow when the song clicked so to speak. Real joy to watch! 😁
This is why I love you.
Edit: also well done. Top 5 of mine all time band wise.
Just picked up bass again after not playing for 20 years, can confirm 5 string is the funnest thing ever. :D
Hell yeah!
This is so funny to watch as a guitarplayer. To learn a song we follow the bass to get the root of the song we learn.
Hella good job and lovely video
Whas great awsome tone . Beautiful base
Thanks man!
This is good inspiration for one drummer who hasn't played in years 👏
Nice Job! I recommend getting a drop pedal for anyone looking to play those low songs with a 4 string.
I do have a pitch shift built into some of the patches on my Helix, but nothing beats the feel of a 5-string. 🤘

SUCH a good song. "Brush The Dust Away" is one of my favorites from that album as well!

Tank. That's one sexy bass you got there!
Also, great play through. Pinball is such a banger!
Thanks! 🤘🤘🤘
Sounded great mate
I'm impressed!!! :D
I 've seen the title and got the song stuck in my head for the past half hour ^^' That one's a dang "Ohrwurm" 😅

Definitely „Pinball Map“.
@@TankTheTech Thanks! But then you should fix your YT chapters here... ^^
WOW that’s a huge mess up. Hahahaha. Don’t know what my brain was doing when I did that. Hahahahaha. Thanks for pointing that out!

Reroute to Remain!!!!!!
Suburban me is my favorite song on that album, sadly it's not as famous as the others.
This song slaps!!!
Check out rock smith tabs man they make learning so much easier than traditional

wish a can do that , congrats.
In flames we trust
Ngl following the main riff with the bass line sounds awesome even if that isn't on the recorded version
Finally get to see In Flames in a few weeks. Hopinggggggggggg that its mostly Clayman and jester race......... but i know it wont be haha
it'd be a BLAST
Holy shhheeet, how do you get that tone?😁 NASTY

I believe official would refer to it's tabbed by the ultimate guitar team not the artist or band lol

Ive played 4‘s my entire life and the 5 string version of the Stingray was a super smooth transition. The neck isn’t too big, and it plays awesome.
Send it to Peter. Ask him if you did it right. 😂
Hahaha. That’s actually be an interesting idea. 😂
Fuck yeah dude \m/
Unless we are talking about sheet happens

“Official” tabs on UG just mean it’s their official tab, created by UG people…not an official tab from the band. It’s confusing.
Yeah I know, but usually they spend a little more time checking the accuracy then some people that randomly upload their own.
@@TankTheTech for sure. I’ve seen tabs uploaded by users that were way better than the official, and vice-versa. Like you said - the tab is a good starting point.
i almost never use tabs because most of the people who upload tabs are tone deaf beyond belief
