i enjoyed this VERY much!!! the subject matter, the interviewer's style and most of all the way she spoke about the horses, and the mindset she and her brother have with all that they do with them. great stuff, Matt!!! 10/10
Wow. Hearing a rider of this level talk about wanting to make friends with him and almost beg his acceptance rather than some that would have been, 'Do you know who I am?' That was a very special moment in this video, and I think that is a huge lesson to all of us right here. For a relationship to the point of friendship. Just a stunning moment to hear on this interview. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ heart feels warm listening to her.
this interview probably took place in spring 2020 (or 2021?) and Matt was about 23/24yrs old. Jessica went on to win the gold medal in individual dressage at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
Really enjoyed this video!! It was nice to hear that she doesn't train when she is not 100%, but does a hack thru the forest. Also, good to hear that she makes it fun for the horses as well. I also liked that she took her time to be her special horse's friend ( can't spell his name sorry 😐 ) to have a relationship that goes without saying. Also, to hear that she struggles some days with her riding brings her down to earth. I am retraining an OTTB and there have been good & bad days, but I feel better knowing that what I have been doing is right & working because she is the proof!!
What a beautiful interview ❤ I found this so inspiring and came at the perfect time when feeling a bit discouraged with my riding goals. .Feelinf like I can do this now - so thank you! Definitely thinking about the membership if its more of this content 🤩
Matt, this is such a great interview! Chapeau! I have never seen such a good interview before. So quiet, empathetic and always the right questions to ask. The calm editing adds to the greatness of this interview! This is a perfect example for an excellent Interviewer/ Video Production!
Love your channel, this video, and the topic of rider fitness. Jessica is such a great role model for riders of all ages. How can we expect our horses to be perfect if we are not perfect? Im losing weight and working on my flexibility and core stability for my horse right now. She’s happier already; more freely forward and more round. Its ok that we are both imperfect ❤️my🐴💕
MATT! YOU STAR ! Amazing interview and look how smooth and spot on you are on everything you do! Keep being you and keep up the good work. Up and beyond you go! Always excited to witness your journey. Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.
You are really a great interviewer, Matt. Really interesting insights. The one thing I don't understand: they want to make their horses happy and stress how much time they get to spend in the field. But then we see the horses in individual and pretty small fields. Horses are social creatures. And yes, there are top level riders where horses at least go out in pairs. Or even in a herd. Or did we just not see the clips here?
I really enjoy everything Matt does yet I think it's important to acknowledge that male athletes are rarely asked about their private lives, new fatherhood, family lives, etc and how they fit in with their sport in the same way women are called to account. This needs to change.
Matt versteht und redet doch auch Deutsch? Ob er mit Jessica auch bisle Deutsch gesprochen hat? Jessica ist echt Klasse. Supi Interview, thank you Matt👍
does he? his mum is Italian and he lived in Australia from the age of 10. moved to the Netherlands when 21. his Dutch might have gotten better since then but I've never heard him speak anything other than English/Italian and bits of Dutch.
It would have been a nice addition to your video, if she had introduced you to some of the horses 🐎 To spice it up a little and give us some eye candy... 😉
Like a dominatrix flirting with rollker. This high level riding does not make a horse happy. Delusional. Top 5 in world. To get there in the horse world, your horse does not love you. Honey. You look so kind but that level riding is anything but. The horse was not crying to have to stop rollker sanctioned by the FEI money judges.
@barbaracollins5605, Actually, horses like having a purpose and a job too. It's boring doing nothing and just eating and standing around. Especially when genetically talented towards a certain sport. Watch a cow horse light up when cows are brought in! Obviously, honey, you've not been around horses very much. Best you stick to your human bondage/ domination experience. Horses have emotions and feelings too and develop love for their owners/ parent, just like dogs, cats, kids etc.

Lovely to hear your story. So many competition horses are pressured too much and she is the opposite of most people.
He's spelled "Unee BB" if you want to look up his farewell :)

Great video! ❤
In the first 2 seconds he managed to cut her off already 😭😂
This fine lady is married with Max von Bredow. My grandmother was E. von Bredow; she was a passionate horse rider.
When did this interview take place??
Before the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
Very entertaining 🎉

wow 19 years old and they managed to make it profitable and functioning 🤩
What a wonderful horse woman.
