I'm a 44 year old now, but i think this music filled me up with energy to push trhough in life, not only then, it energizes me now too. I hope younder generations have things like this nowadays, I remember when electronic music had some motivational vibe.
What I appreciate a lot about UW is that they have a message of yes and positivity as in "you bring light in... you bring light in... you bring light in...."
Huge underworld fan base in the 20's-30s range, their style and sound really is timeless and doesn't sound out of place even at raves/gigs with more modern electronic artists
I first heard it on Pete Tongs Friday night radio 1 show early 90s and I was into rock/metal then but it blew me away and made me realise electronic music was valid aswell 😊
My big brother got me hooked on this type of music in the 90’s and I still like it! That’s wow almost 30 years later I’m now 50 years old and I still listen to this on Spotify 😮
Oi!!! My little brother, 10 yrs my younger, loved this and many more, so much, he stole my music collection and his it at every one of his friends houses. Underworld and Eon and praga khan were his favorites. Eon - Spice (must flow) was the best thing to happen to me and probably electronica ever. Check it, if you don't already know it
First great techno song I've ever heard in my life is this one. I was blasted into some other universe when I heard it and saw the video- 25 years ago.... nothing can get close to this . it's really everything, everything.
Cowgirl / Rez is perhaps one of the most important singles in the Emerson era of Underworld, it really brought the crew to the electronic stage. Emerson himself is a genius, and with the added touch of Hyde and Smith, it's as if destiny has really taken shape for their future. Amazing times, from the clubs to the soundtrack scene. What wonders you could accomplish on little equipment...
I'd say that's the wrong way round, more like Smith & Hyde with the added touch of Emerson. He was clearly important in helping to guide their transition from the earlier version of Underworld, but it's clear that their sound has always been predominantly a Smith creation.
Damn, I feel cheated by myself... saw underworld live 4 times but never heard this song in it's studio form and it's every bit as beautiful and uplifting as their live performance. I love you Underworld... great memories & good times!
I waited outside the tiny record shop in Banbury to open to buy dubnobass the day it came out. The best techno track ever made. Then saw Underworld live 3 times that year the best being megadog with drum club at Leicester uni. Once in a lifetime.
Takes me back, my mate played this to me in my car must have been 94/95. Was a bit of an end of an era thing with all the film loops in the video. Back in the 90s most kids listened to UK bands, Primal Scream, Shamen, Prodigy, Stone Roses, Verve etc. Not sure whats going on now, I hope the UK Grime / Trap scene is just as vibrant now as that seems the most underground sort of music, but I'm too old to know lol
MTV Amp was my introduction to "Cowgirl" but my intro to Underworld was "Pearls Girl" which was a part of the soundtrack to "The Saint" with Val Kilmer. That one-two punch made me a fan of Underworld.
Got this CD from an import distributor back in 1993. I have the earlier Underworld albums, this was a huge departure once Darren Emerson came on board. This is a great album from start to finish. Best listened to in it's entirety.
Dubnobasswithmyheadman, Second Toughest In The Infants, Beaucoup Fish -- a trio of amazing LPs, a wonderful musical treat from start to finish on each of them. Never forget..
Vinyl came to me in a dream; not a nightmare. The building overlooked Greenwhich Village. Never undrerestimate dreams or premonitions. They are one step beyond.
Oh thank god I figured out what song this was! For the past 3 DAYS I've had the "I'm invisible" part stuck in my head. Not knowing the artist or title, but I knew I had it on some techno mix cd. Crisis averted.
This only makes sense if you play it on 1.5x speed.i heard westbam play this at 45rpm at the afterdark club in Morley back in 93 and it was mental.facts.

you are soooooo old......enjoy your last days!!!!
My dad's the same age as you, I can definitely say it has reached the younger generations.

I'm invisible
Christopher de Vidal but are you really 🤔
Is everything
Substance 🙂
(Note: invisibility is due to Substance being too big and diverse to be observable, hence similar to Akari Akaza)

Oh then you needs to check Eon - Spice. Underworld overall is better group, but Spice by Eon... Unfreakingreal

Eff me, I haven't heard this for over a decade and it's even better than I remember.
Darren Emerson took underworld to another level - he was a genius during this period...
Genius. If you can't rave to this, then there's no hope left.
Not a track to rave to bud, go back a re-learn what rave is lol ((do not get me wrong however this track was is and still is amazing)).
@@CrashHeadroom I know what rave music is. Gabber, etc. Don't need a lecture from you. Don't get me wrong either.
One of the best trip on earth, and forever!
This period of Underworld always take me back to the PS1 and Wipeout/Wipeout 2097

I remeber have danced this theme back in 1997 in a trance party, one of the best moments in my life and it's 23 years later
Same, but 2001. You never forget where you were nor what happened that night.
By sheer chance, I heard it on tv, with headphones turned on. The music video alone was mesmerizing.
Damn, I feel cheated by myself... saw underworld live 4 times but never heard this song in it's studio form and it's every bit as beautiful and uplifting as their live performance. I love you Underworld... great memories & good times!
