Having bad audio plays a big part on videos. People can sit through a lower-ish quality video with decent audio but no one can sit through a high quality video with shitty audio. It sucks but it is what it is
Also keep in mind that generally speaking, any sword that's actually usable will not be greater than 1-2.5 kg, with most katana falling under the 2kg mark and rarely ever exceeding it. Taking into consideration that this weight is total weight (meaning that the perceived weight dictated by the center of mass will play a far larger role than the true weight) , that means that, while not a perfect 1:1, you could easily create shinai that are fairly similar in feel to a real katana by simply manipulating the balance to mimic an actual blade. This principal is also why you'll see some very heavy swords (3kg+ in some cases) will still manage to feel lighter than some thing in the 1.5-2 kg range, because the center of balance is closer to the hand for the heavier or because the center of balance is farther from the hand for the lighter. Both of those factors can make a sword take more or less energy to control properly, and after a certain amount of necessary mass, it becomes far more dependent on mass distribution than actual raw mass.
@@spookyshark632 well that actually make sense. But when I visited I was given 800 g sword. Men is given more heavier though.. Boys would have gotten around 900 g to 1kg..I would assume

1:59 wait until he realises that a real katana is 3 times as heavy.
Minimum weight of kendo sword is around 500g . But most professional dojo in Japan actually has kendo sword around 1 kg which is similar to katana.
@@adarshkushwaha2071 ah I see
@@adarshkushwaha2071 They're not gonna give beginners the super heavy ones, though.
