    my village loses power quite often. at least two times power was down for maybe nine days. we have been using gas generators for power during these times. most of us have little money.
    redox energy storage seems to be a solution for our power losses, but very expensive. do you think if we contacted our utility and suggest they install a redox battery with automatic switching
    and we would a small $ amount of the cost, and the utility could use the battery for their use and pay the most $ that they would go for the idea?

    There are a number of things at play here. First is what reasons did your power supply go down? Was it from generation or from distribution ? If it was a distribution failure there is no battery system that’s going to fix that. Battery storage is mainly designed to store power when there is excess generated and delivery it at peak times. I.E. solar power generated during the day and is at a very low price it’s bought and stored then sold at peak times . It can also help through power cuts like a day down but never have the capacity to supply entirely from battery for 9 days
