Ali Zafar is better than most "so called" stars from Bollywood. He is also very talented and can sing, paint,play guitar etc. The problem with Bollywood is, it is so stereotyped and talent does not necessarily get one far. A talented Guru Dutt died in penury. Talented Kamal Hasan from South had to go back there disappointed with the bollywood. I see some changes however recently with some newer directors trying to change things.
I hope Pakistani and Indian actors come together and make movies that both can watch and enjoy. A great epic on the partition remains to be made. Who will have the courage to make it? Alas, there are no Akira Kurosowa, Steven Spielberg or Francis Coppola in Bollywood.

The remake of "chashme Baddur" was just average i am told. I did not see the movie. I do remember seeing the older version when i was in medical school in Delhi. That was uproriously funny. Sai Paranjpai did what David Dhawan could not. Goes to show David Dhawan is only good for "Khatiya Sarkaile ki jaada lage" kind of films.
Sai Paranjai is unmatched…..alas we loose our good tastes when good directors are forgotten. People do not watch poor programs because they like them, they watch them because their tastes have not been developed, by providing good programs.
Ok now ppl tell me I am correct here. The way Ali describes David dhawan I get the feeling he is not much of a director in fact he appears pretty amateurish. He apparently walks right into the frame. He lets the actors perform anyway they want and he also seems like a glutton eating all the time. Not exactly hallmarks of a great director but just a jovial good guy to hang around in the set and pretty easying going guy. That's good to hear but certainly not a great director this david dhawan.
Veena malik is a desperate failed actor who didn't get any attention in Pakistan so she ran to India to sell herself for cheap roles. Even her family disowned her. while Ali Zafar is a genuine talent who proved himself in Pakistan and India alike. There is no comparison.
