You are more than welcome Josh. I’m hoping others will see the “thank you” and that they can do the same. The amount of entertainment you provide is wonderful. Do you know if others can see that they can provide you with the $ thank you? I’m hoping they can and will catch on. No one thinks twice about paying to download crap movies. I show my grandchildren your videos, where ninety nine percent of other content I wouldn’t find family friendly enough. You and Robbie are my favourite “TH-camrs” as it is acceptable to all. Not everybody likes bad language. 😊 Look forward to the next one.

I also watch all of Robbie's videos he was a great help to me when I first started and still is I guess. He is a good fella and we are definitely going down to see him this crayfish season to show our appreciation for his support.

@@TeamTibbett I consider you and Robbie both “good fellas.” Like I said, you two are my favourite TH-camrs. The rest of the TH-camrs I follow are all about Motorbikes. I have ridden them since I was eleven, and have now held a Victorian licence for fifty two years. I have owned thirty Motorbikes in my life and presently ride a hundred horsepower Kawasaki Z900RS in a very spirited fashion. If I suddenly go quiet, check the Mildura obituaries in the Sunraysia Daily 🤣. Since losing my wife I find it really hard to look forward to much in life.

Here I go again. I hadn’t watched beyond your description of net problems, now I have. The old net you used was built like I described and caught really well, coincidence? Ailyn’s nets were further out and probably netting obscuring bait. The small floats on the nets are what we used to keep the three strings out of net. And in one clip you had picked up the string and had tension on giving Yabbies advanced notice while you were talking and that net had nothing or just one.

I do have those little floats I will set them up next time , and I did notice her throwing method but I just let her go..hahaha..

@@TeamTibbett I so appreciate that about you Josh. You maintain a happy demeanour and let things ride when with Ailyn and Josie when they miss the netting of Yabbies. A lot, no, most men would be grumpy.

There is one more ‘Glaring’ problem with the Nets as well. The netting sock is way too deep. I saw that the first time you used them. I was also seeing it on your Ute tailgate in this clip when you were brushing the bottom of the net to expose the bait. When you put your nets in the water there is no guarantee that they will drop straight down. If they go a bit sideways, the netting will cover your bait, therefore the Yabbies may escape when you start to pull in. The worst case scenario is that the netting may totally cover your bait and in that case the Yabby doesn’t even need to be in the Net to get to the bait, so when you stat to lift the Yabby is already on the outside of the net. No chance to catch him then.
I spent the first twenty-six years of my working life as a Bookkeeper in a Sporting Store in Mildura as big as an Anaconda Store and sold all the same products, plus we had Firearms as well. For around the first ten years of my work we used to buy Yabby Net Socks direct from Japan. They were one piece so were fantastic quality. We had six millimetre wire top and bottom rings rolled and would buy 2000 of each at a time. Some seasons with floods we could possibly make 10,000 Nets as we wholesaled all over the Eastern side of Australia. Then completely fabricated nets started coming in from China and ruined our niche market as they were so cheap. And so was there quality. Ideally Josh, when you slowly lower your net onto the ground and start moving it sideways as soon as the Botton ring is on the ground, the netting can be close to your bait, but no netting should be over it. Then, the Yabbies will all be in the net when you lift it. Also, so you don’t lose any Yabbies, we used to attach a small float where the main drop string attaches to the three strings to the top ring, that way the float keeps those three strings out of the net whilst in the water. If there is no float in that position, as soon as you start to pull on the net if there is a Yabby on a string in the net it has advanced warning before you lift and it buzzes of. Sorry about the ‘waffle’.. regards Jeff. 😊

You are right mate, the sock is too deep, I did notice that as well as soon as I unpacked them. I overlooked that point in my review. I will have to further modify them and shorten them up I think. I really don't like to complain about stuff but Wilson being a popular brand you would think they would be able to build a much better trap then that. I bought one of their shrimp traps age's ago and it was a joke. I will show it in a future video. I thought I better point out there down Falls so people without as much experience as us knows what to look for when spending there hard earned money on a trap and get one that at least works and doesn't need a complete rebuild. Thanks again for your support and feedback we really do appreciate it.

Wilson nets are CRAP but all the shops insist on bloody stocking them and only them have to order our nets online or drive 3 hours to go vuy something more sturdy, small snag and the net is gone with with wilsons money wasting creek litterers

Yes I don't know who does there research and development but they obviously don't like using traps. There shrimp traps are probably worse.
