Waste Management North Valley Disposal's Spare Autocar ACX Labrie Automizer Garbage Truck

I got super lucky when I found this truck... It was hiding behind and Amrep doing compost and then I saw yellow arm come out from behind the Amrep I saw, then immediately made a B-Line for this truck which was about 500 feet in front of me. By the time I got there, the truck's arm was stuck in the raised position. I waited for about fifteen minutes and talked to the driver for a little bit. Eventually, after some troubleshooting, he got the arm to go back down. He ended up having to extend the packer panel to push hydraulic fluid back into the system.
HUGE thanks to the driver for letting me film this truck! I remember seeing this truck when I was little and went to my grandparents' house. It's cool to see that they are still running around even after the CARB emissions standards were passed, causing all of the diesel pythons to go away. There are two of these units left at the Chico yard, which were among the batch of five delivered to the yard, as their first CNG trucks. I'm not sure where then other three went but it's cool to know some history still lives on here. Check out my Flickr for the still pictures, and pictures of the yard. This area was first serviced by North Valley Disposal which was purchased by USA Waste Services in the late 80's, and then not long after merging with Waste Management
