    Thank you for watching!
This video explains how I draw a basic triangle grid which I often use for stitching patterns involving hexagons.
As I explained in the video, this is one of the practical ways to draw a triangle grid with diagonal lines close to 30 degrees by hand, but it can’t quite achieve the accurate angle.
If you want to draw an accurate pattern, please use an isometric grid (with equilateral triangles).
The A:B=1:2 grid are also useful for some Hishi (diamond) patterns.
This grid makes some complicated patterns much easier to draw and stitch and I will show one in the next video.

This grid is useful for these patterns: Kikkou, Tsuno-Kikkou, Juji-Kikkou, Arare-Kikkou, Bishamon-Kikkou, Hakozashi, Yosegi and many more!

I really appreciate the ‘how to’s”. This is what I need most. Thank you

Thanks for the video, this is just what I needed. For anyone else who was wondering how close 4/7 is to a perfectly symmetrical grid, the ratio "should" be 1/sqrt(3).
    1/sqrt(3) ~= 0.577
    4/7 ~= 0.571
    5/9 ~= 0.556
    1/2 = 0.5
So 4/7 is the best approximation out of these ones, and it's a very good approximation.

Thank you so much😊 I tend to use 4/7 when hexagons are the main element of the pattern.

Your channel has been such a big help in learning sashiko! Will you be doing a video on the Juji-Kikkou anytime soon? I would love to see how that pattern is done! Thank you again for all your hard work on these videos! :)

Thank you so much! I have stitched Juji-Kikkou in a few different ways before. It’s one of the patterns which are hard to stitch efficiently. I will try to make a video in the near future. Thank you for your suggestion😊

@@thegreenwrapper Oh awesome! I look forward to watching it when it comes out! I think you would be the first one to make a tutorial on it too, as I couldn't seem to find one anywhere on YT.

Hi! I have released a new video which is about Kikkou patterns including Juji-Kikkou. I hope you enjoy it!
How do you stitch these Kikkou patterns? Let's try to stitch Sashiko Kikkou/Juji-Kikkou/Tsuno-Kikkou
