Is this the same as “the Buddha, the dharma and the sangha?”

Thank You for responding - the answer deeply resonated within my heart that calls to be kind and loving despite the rejection. While hearing the answer, I was walking through frosty city to the market to get a big bucket of my Dearest Spouse's favourite honey for His morning tea, although we are living in different apartments for time being. I started to cry in the middle of the market and felt certain that Mettā brought me there.
Now I fear nothing. A drop of water splits a rock, falling on it one by one. And Mettā is an endless river. 🤍
    Sadhu sadhu sadhu 🤍✨

The path of non violence and peace of Buddhism has been discouraged for the lay persons... Giving up kingdom and going to meditate under the peepal tree was Buddha's struggle to find answers regarding nature of reality... One day he attained enlightenment and went back to the city to preach the dharma of Buddhism... The path of non violence was discouraged as an asceticism born out of ignorance... The non violence of Buddhism is different meaning non harmfulness towards sentient beings... Nirpekshata or being transparent towards others was the true meaning of non-violence... Winning the war however seems like a better idea for majority of the Bodhi cult members... Being away from the material pleasures for some time is hardly an option for them...

It would be wise to only to think and behave in accordance with the thripitaka dhamma and encourage others also to do and nothing but. Lack thereof would be the forest of banana trees you enter to find heartwood.

Surely there are inspirational stories of patience in relationships that don’t involve women enduring horrible abuse for the spiritual and emotional advancement of men?

Hello everyone, I have a terrible question I need to ask regarding Ajahn Brahm.
There was one talk he did recently, where he told a story where he was (paraphrasing heavily) given 9 pepsi by the universe, like a synchronicity, or synchronistic event.
It was a clear lie, as clear as day. He seemed to not be terribly confident in it himself, even saying "and I know it is true."
I am in a little bit of a crisis over it, as I am very sensitive to dishonesty, yet this is the only negative thing I can say about Ajahn Brahm. I have become disillusioned from certain self-help gurus in the past, so to have another and much better teacher who does real good in the world also lie hits a nerve with me.
Help? I don't want to effectively lose a source of peace because of "one bad brick" :(

He has sId a few times that he changes the stories he tells so we don’t get bored or hearing the same stories.
We never really recall our memories 100% .
Try to not take it so seriously ❤❤

If there is something you don’t like apart from many things you like you can read the story with the two bad bricks in the wall in his book. All the best for you ❤

You can choose whether or not to believe it. Remember that Ajahn Brahms tells us to be critical thinkers. Don't need to believe everything that any spiritual leader says. All the best to you!
To add on, his example about being given pepsi by some devas (or heavenly beings) was due to the product of his good karma when he was thirsty. If you read the suttas, devas frequently interacted with monks of high merit and virtue to help them in dire situations. It's not a cosmic kind of thing with colossal implications for the human condition. No big deal.
