Thanks you, Nicola, for sharing your insights and ambitions. I particularly liked the part on the influence of technical skill on design and vice versa. Inspiring! Thanks, Louise and Andrew, for creating this beautifully relaxed atmosphere that makes for an excellent interview! :)

Thank you for this video, what an incredibly thoughtful jeweller. I sometimes struggle to justify continuing to make jewellery in a world where we over consume, and discard one perfectly functional thing for the next bright and shiny incarnation that happens to catch our eyes. Listening to Nicola helps me re-define why I’m making what I’m making and how. I hope you are right Nicola, that people are reconsidering what is important (and that this continues to be the case). Thanks so much Andrew and Louise for bringing us all of your inspiring videos.

    Jewelry is “portable communication.” ❤️
I LOVE her approach to her design concepts and how much thought she puts into communicating her unique style in her work. She reminds me of a younger version of myself with how deeply she considers things as an “artist jeweler.” Very inspiring! Thank you SO much for arranging and sharing these interviews! 🙏🏼

Soldering is easy, using the correct 🔥 , is hard we need to see what the professionals made at the beginning of their learning career. We all start at 1 regardless. We at the age where imperfections is perfect Now. Jeans with holes were for the poor, shoes with not strings meant you were dirty and poor at one time. What we think is wrong or unprofessional might be the next big 🎯. Just saying. Just don't make juke, and be critical of someone else's dreams and Their household income.
Always remember the nugget ring jewelry wasn't meant to be, it's everything we are not supposed to create in casting metals. So your success might be in what's not supposed to be in the PROFESSIONAL WORLD

I totally agree what Nicola is saying and I hope this programme will encourage independent jewellers. Hope consumers will think again what they are paying for and a value of handmade pieces. It is not about mass production but how people will find a value in a piece! I love her comment about jewellery is like carrying an art with you. It is so true!
