    Phillip, the two little button jewels with the chains and bars dangling from them are tie tacks! Separate the back from the front, poke the front piece through both layers of the tie, even with a button hole behind it. Slip the little bar through the button hole and attach the back on the tie tack. It work like a tie clip to hold the tie in place.

    Stephanie, I was so worried you did not receive my box. Am so happy that you did. Am sorry that I confused you with my nick name. It is pronounced Peggy. It is Gaelic. The enamel dish that my father made has his initials and dated on the back. FS (Frank Scott) I course I thought this Christmas Chateau CADEAUX was the best so far. lol Have a Happy Christmas.

    We used to like squirrels but their numbers increased to the point of becoming destructive pests. They chew on our shingles, wood beams roof on patio, porch railings, etc. They most recently chewed through the gas line and brake line on my husband’s pickup truck; also chewed top of the fuel pump. Little buggers aren’t so cute now; especially after receiving a repair bill for over one thousand dollars!! Luckily our insurance covered most of it. Hubby caught and “relocated” over 50 of them in one year but their numbers have grown again! I have to admit I still enjoy watching them chase each other around the yard.

    I’ve never commented on a TH-cam video before, but I just had to share this… I grew up in Seattle Washington, in the United States. One of the oldest and nicest hotels in Seattle is the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Every Christmas, the Fairmont Olympic hosts a gingerbread village, roasts chestnuts by their front entrance, and also fills one of its hotel suites to the brim with teddy bears. No humans stay in the teddy bear suite - it’s just occupied by teddy bears. I have no idea what it’s like now (I’m now 28) but when I was a child it was so magical to see all of these Christmas teddy’s filling a room. It was the kind of space that just fills you to the brim with nostalgia, even when you are just a little girl. Anyway, just in case you are in need of an idea for all those stuffed animals… consider making your own teddy suite at the chateau. It’s silly, but I can’t think of anything more fitting!

    • @cecilea6938
      @cecilea6938 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What a good idea! A future room in the attic, in the servants quarter, would be perfect because a) those rooms won't be often used, b) it's far away enough so that the animals can live their secret life secretly but not too far away so they won't be forgotten, and c) it could be soo pretty! :D

    There was some beautiful Murano glass in your presents today. As a hobby I make earrings, necklaces and bracelets with Murano glass beads and Swarovski crystals. Each bead is hand made and unique, none are completely identical. There were some beautiful beads in your gifts. I love the cross stitch as that is another hobby of mine. Hopefully your framer will know how to frame cross stitch properly. I usually stretch mine over foam core and lace it at the back before my framer receives it. That way it lasts longer and it is cheaper than paying for the framer to do it. I love Nati's garnet earrings. I think some of the treasure today may not be just costume jewellery. Philip sounds as if he has a bad cold. I know you all had your vaccinations earlier. I hope that boosters are available for you all also. Take care everyone xo

    They are tie tack’s, you put the tack part through the center of both tie parts, then the chain threw the button hole to help keep your tie in place. My husband had a gold nugget that we had made into a tie tack and chain. I miss those things, now my son wears them. Your guys are awesome, you keep me laughing and being able to see so many beautiful things, so thank you. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
