Given another opportunity to praise God in another cancer diagnosis. I embrace the cancer. God gave it to me. It’s a gift and a privilege to rely on our benevolent Lord. I need prayer🙏I need to take up the shield at all times and worship. God bless

A W Tozer has the most beautiful prayers at the end of every chapter of The Pursuit of God, I prayed those prayers on my knees before school my senior year of high school along with Psalm 63, that prepared me for a life with that shield of faith. That was a cool fact, how heavy the shield is.
I'm learning to truly live by faith. Not in the outcome of what I'm believing for, but living by the faithfulness of my Heavenly Father. This teaching helped me to see that all I need to do is to look to the scripture to reassure myself of His faithfulness. God has delivered my from so many things known, but it warms my heart in different way to know what he has protected me from that's unknown. Glory be to the Most High.

I LOVED this teaching. I knew exactly what Beth was talking about, when she was referencing the projection of another traumatic event after the experience of one. Or, especially after repeatedly being subjected to the same. You have a nature driven expectation of pain that you are trying to preventatively prepare for. How much better to picture Jesus and His shield, swiping aside our tormentor, while we are safely behind Him.
Yes! Such a beautiful picture of God's protection over us!
