This was a really annoying quest for me, one of the npc's glitched up and it would not register the conversation, as I found someone else was having this issue with the novice in the oratory I ended up talking to this npc about 50 times and it eventually registered. 3 hours later and after repeating fraqsu's guide several times from start to finish, very frustrated...

Damn, dude. You are more patient than me. Please help me understand something:
I only have a couple days playtime in this game. Finished this particular quest with the guide in one shot, but still tho. Is this a sign of things to come? Like, is the entire game just a giant pain in the ass of running around for hours not knowing WTF or using guides to make decent progress?
