Great reaction video, there's so much great music in the Final Fantasy series, but this one is one that has always stood out. For context, this song is played during the final boss and the different movements you identified are played during different "phases" during the boss. In particular, right before the 8:00 band coming in, you ascend basically into heaven and are fighting the final phase of the boss where he has ascended into a twisted God. This epic soundtrack really captures the impact of building to that moment.
@@SlimFit-ye1yc Because its absolutely true. The man wrote a masterpiece for a 16 bit system. I know of only 1 other game that did something this amazing during that time. Mother 2 and the song Pokey means business.
Lol, definitely. The FFVI soundtrack is arguably one of the best prog rock albums of all time. Uematsu was definitely listening to a lot of Yes and King Crimson at the time.

For a musician, the SNES sound engine is like an artist being given Crayola crayons. Nobuo Uematsu used Crayola crayons to paint the Sistine Chapel."

Which absolutely does not apply in this situation because he didn't even listen to the SNES version
This game taught me to love music.
Same man. Started my love affair with Japanese entertainment.
My favorite video game and music ever.
......oh, I thought this was going to be the original version. :/
"Its so prog" in the first movement. Just wait haha

you spelled "unbelievably magnificent" wrong. It has a lot more letters than two and neither of the letters you did type are in those words.
