Why did they ever get rid of ground war? I remember when Ghosts came it out and it went to next gen (ps4/Xbox one) only was playable on that from what I remembered. Wonder what the reasoning was behind it
CoD4 really is what revolutionized the modern shooter. It changed the landscape forever. Other games may have done things "better" after but none of them caused a shift in the scene like CoD4. Forever will be the GOAT, IMO.
World at war will forever remain a masterpiece. With the grittiness of the campaign, the chaos that was the multiplayer, and the childhood horrors that were the first zombies experience we played. There will never be another zombies like WAW. I honestly don't know if it's possible for them to recapture that lightning in a bottle that was world at war. Love this game

@@Gtown215 I also feel like ghost came out at a difficult time, most of us played the og CODs on the 360, but ghosts was being released with the then next gen, and Microsoft fucked up the Xbox One release, meaning a lot of people went from 360 to PS4 while some of us stayed and went with the new Xbox. So it really split the friend groups up, and playing COD alone just really isn’t fun. Plus we were all getting older, everyone had left high school and moved on in life, the player base of COD was changing, becoming less casual fun with friends and more sweaty. Ghosts felt off, it felt like boring, it just really wasn’t fun at all. Then they completely ruined COD forever with advanced warfare, didn’t even buy that shit. BO3 had too much ott shit too. It was done. I hated BO4 also, immediately regretted buying that. When they made WW2 I had high hopes for it, it wasn’t the worst ever, but still didn’t feel like the good old days, it was nice to have boots on the ground again, but it was so meh. And the remastered COD4 was ruined by the loot crates and crap, they just couldn’t give us the simple remaster we wanted, they had to milk it. The franchise is beyond dead, but I’m so happy to have an opportunity to play the og games again, even tho it ain’t the same without all the boys online, plus the input lag issues.

Played through my very first cod4 campaign playthrough on Veteran and that was tough (after a couple hundred attempts managed to succeed completing mile high club mission too!) All in all loved it!
Idk. I feel like he coulda remote controlled a tank. While you were doing damage to the tank, he wasn’t stressing. I’m sure if he was in a tank and taking damage, he’d freak out a little bit or you could at least hear the gunfire/damage going in his comms

Best call of duty of all time. People were setting bo2, mw2, mw3, etc over CoD4 which makes sense because there were better camos and things but in my opinion CoD4 is simply better overall than most call of duty games.

ive been playing a lot of MWR and i had to turn on colorblind assist cause i could hardly see anybody and everybody could see me perfectly. i would watch the killcams and i couldnt see myself at all in certain situations. everything changed with colorblind assist.
I guarantee when your game "froze," it didn't actually freeze. COD 4 does this weird thing in the matchmaking where the background music will stop and it won't say "Searching for available games" or "Getting match quality," but if you wait a few seconds, the matchmaking will start back up again. Also, humans design machines to work a certain way, so if a machine fails at its job, there is a human to blame for that. Maybe even multiple humans to blame for a machine's lackluster performance. And don't call me Shirley.
