Crazy to think that none of these inmates have been to trial yet. How many innocent people with no criminal inclination get locked up here, absolutely brutalised and subsequently get found 'not guilty' at trial? Must absolutely wreck you life. Also, what happens if you end up being forced to shank someone to prove to the cell you're not a snitch? Do you get charged and sentenced for that crime, despite not being guilty of the crime you're locked up for? Frightening.
It does ruin your life- can't pay your bills and such on the outside= lose your house, job, credit, car, etc... not even "guilty" yet. And yes, you could catch a new case doing what you mentioned. The US justice system needs a major rehaul.
i was locked up for a DV i didnt do i did 4months in medium security then i beat up a pedo and went to the hole the whole jail was gang related and i wasnt in a gang when i got out the hole they moved me to max security they called it gladiator school im 5'5 140 at the time and man lemme tell you it was real in there every cell had at least one murderer and the pod i was in had about 12 murderers and then theres me in there because my girl put hands on me and lied to the police i was going to go to trial and had a good case and was confident i was going to win but after being in max for a few weeks and seeing and hearing the shit i heard i said fuck the trial gimme the plea deal and get me outa here
one crazy thing i heard was these two sur13 members diablo and T they were both in for murder T waS IN for a double murder and he was my cell mate but they were talking and diablo ask him "man you know when your killing someone and you look into their eyes and you can see when their soul is leaving their body?" and T was like yeah then diablo goes i love that shit then they both started laughing it was sick

I feel him. They all inmates yo. I just did 90 days in county and made it to trustee last few months. That shit was a problem. They had dudes that tried to act like they were bosses in the kitchen. I almost fought 2 dudes behind that shit. Then at the end of my bid COs would ask me to go tell other inmates what to do and every time I said NEGATIVE do you see what I’m wearing?? I’m an inmate bruh. Anytime I did actually tell someone what to do, like just helping a new guy, I did it in the most respectful way possible and made it clear that I was simply giving a suggestion respectfully. I didn’t even like doing that and rarely do so. It’s crazy how motherfuckers that don’t work out in the world and just smoke crack all day would come to jail and start acting like some great supervisor/leader. STFUUUU
Because if you identify as the leader the correctional officers well label you and you could face more repercussions legally

I think everybody should be concerned about a justice system that incarcerates people for four years in a county jail before they've ever been convicted. The guy in this video may or may not be guilty, but there are also cases where innocent people like Kalief Browder were jailed for years awaiting trial and suffered tragically for it. We should be paying attention to how the justice system treats the people it claims to presume to be innocent.

For all of these people the prosecution has there case ready to go to court, it's their own lawyers who make them wait.
