Not enough evidence is not enough evidence. In most countries, including the US, people have a right to a fair trial and to be innocent until proven guilty. They can't be accused of things and charged without evidence to convict. All they had to go on was the little girl's word, and that's not enough for a conviction. It would have been destroyed by the defence lawyers and the killer would have gone free. Chances are, she'd have moved to a different town or city and babysat there instead, leading to more victims. The only silver lining to what happened is that it was easy to link the two deaths together and she was prevented from killing more. Had she been declared not guilty in a trial for the kidnapping/murder of the twins, she could have changed her name, gone anywhere, become a serial killer, gotten smarter with how she did it. And because she would have been found not guilty of the first murder, it wouldn't be able to be used as evidence in any future trials.

I read a writeup of this case a while back and AFAIK he didn't go directly there, he was just looking around the cementery AND then decided to look into the secluded area. And it really doesn't take a genius to think of searching in secluded areas either.

I was a child in Lawton Oklahoma when The Killer Babysitter was on trial. The night she was found guilty, it was in May and we were under a Tornado warning. The court room, the jail, and the county tornado shelter are all in the same place and hallway. I saw her being walked thru our hallway in shackles. All of us kids there with our parents, sheltering during the tornado warning.."had to stand away from her because she kills children. It was REALLY CREEPY because she looked right at me with a smirk and dark black dead eyes.
Something about the first story makes me think that he was innocent. How did the police men know to drive that far to a secluded area to “run into” her body. That strikes me as extremely odd. In this confession he just stated general things which may have been known to him by hearing it from neighbors and the media. Anyone else who agrees with me? 🤷🏼♀️

Goes back 10 minutes later - she's disappeared. He assumes she got a ride, and went about his business. Can't get my head around such negligence... Couldn't he have picked her up and *then* "attended to something"? Bring her home after that? Wonder how he felt when he learned he could have saved her life.
Police are not responsible for ANYONE getting home, or to their destination. Wanting to help her was a nice thing, but not a required thing. Blame the cop for a girl walking alone after midnight? No wonder MGTOW is still gaining momentum.

I had no idea what criminally listed was about a month ago....now, I find myself watching ONLY criminally listed videos... needless to say, I'm becoming a number one fan of the compiled case listing, very informative. Some of these have happened so close to where I'm from yet I'd never heard of them... Thank you for putting together some of the best crime videos I've seen, I've watched other people's versions of some of the same cases, but your videos have so much more information in them. I think it's important that we always remember.... Evil people whose intent is to do us harm always have the advantage of surprise over us. On Halloween, that advantage over us is doubled as it's the one day out of the year that seeing a person that has their true identity hidden be it by a mask or the use of make up, is acceptable due to the holiday. Additionally, when screams & cries of help are heard on this day the first impression is usually some Halloween tricks or scares going on. Halloween is & always will be my all time favorite holiday, but it's also the one day out of the year that I force myself to be even more aware of my environment, & those within it & my own personal safety for reasons I stated above & more. That being said, I wish you ALL a Very Happy & SAFE Halloween along with these reminders to ALWAYS keep in mind. 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 PS.. Flamsterette what’s the brewers name? Not a huge fan of pumpkin beers but I know a few here in Anaheim that make decent ones. (Noble Ale works has a PSL style, it’s golden pumpkin milk stout)

Evil people whose intent is to do us harm always have the advantage of surprise over us. On Halloween, that advantage over us is doubled as it's the one day out of the year that seeing a person that has their true identity hidden be it by a mask or the use of make up, is acceptable due to the holiday. Additionally, when screams & cries of help are heard on this day the first impression is usually some Halloween tricks or scares going on. Halloween is & always will be my all time favorite holiday, but it's also the one day out of the year that I force myself to be even more aware of my environment, & those within it & my own personal safety for reasons I stated above & more. That being said, I wish you ALL a Very Happy & SAFE Halloween along with these reminders to ALWAYS keep in mind. 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

While I usually find the stories you present on this channel very interesting & informative I do however, feel it's irresponsible on your part to offer tips such as using a small caliber weapon if your someone who may be considering shooting someone within the confinements of a vehicle as it lessens the potential for blood splatter evidence. I realize that this statement could be completely innocent on your part & not intended to act as a tip to be used maliciously. However, you cannot know the stability ( or instability )of your audience & should ALWAYS consider this when making such comments that will be posted on the internet & a worldwide audience. I'm from east conemaugh from the first video and I remember growing up hearing about that story and every Halloween we warned to stay in a group or else we could end up like her. We stayed together!
