This video will show me Changing Weights on the 32kg Nuobell style Adjustable Dumbbells by Braingain. This is a new recent purchase.
These Fast Changing Adjustable Dumbbells are round like real weights and go from 2kg (4.4 lbs) all the way up to 32kg (70.4 lbs), in 2 kg (4.4 lb) increments! All done by simply rotating the handle to increase or decrease the weight.
Please note: These "Nuobell" style Dumbbells were NOT purchased from Nuobell. I bought mine from a UK company called Braingain due to looking the exact same (identical in design with different branding) but much lower priced! Do I recommend these Dumbbells from Braingain? Yes. I've not had any complaints. However, I personally would not buy these types of Adjustable Dumbbells as my main primary use due to the plastic parts and therefore not being Heavy Duty. So there's no guarantee how long these types of plastic dumbbells will last! Hence why my main primary set of Dumbbells are the Heavy Duty Ironmaster, and my "additional" set of Dumbbells are my "Nuobell" style from Braingain. I also own Loadable Dumbbell Handles for the record!

I wonder if there's any quality difference between the authentic nuobell dumbbells and those braingain replicas? Almost half the price to start with. How are you getting on with them? Do you think there's any chance of breaking that little plastic bit on the cradle that goes into the dumbbell to allow it to change weight?
Sorry for late reply. I can't say for certain but in my opinion I would say the Adjustable Dumbbells are exactly the same, and made in China. But I'm not willing to pay full price to compare. I haven't had time yet to fully train with them and test out, life is too busy at the mo. But I'm excited to try them. They feel really good in the hand. Is there a chance of breaking.... definitely if you drop them. They're not heavy duty.
I bought the braingain 32s a few months ago and I really like them. They make a but of a rattle but really impressed for the price

This known brand has plastic gears. So anything with full metal internals could last a lot longer

I want to buy. My fear is that it won't be durable. Here in Brazil, the pair costs around 3600 reais (about 18 thousand dollars). But of course, it's made in China, and people just change the company name. Is it worth it? Did you think he was tough? Will it last a lifetime?
Don't buy. Save up and buy Ironmaster Adjustable Dumbbells. 💪
Maybe flared edges would make racking easier
Racking the weights isn't that difficult to be honest. You just can't throw them in.

Still working but a tad noisy to use. I created a video to show this.
Some of the best looking adjustable dumbbells I’ve seen , but with the way they lock weights on if have yo wonder if they might be dangerous to use. If your wrist rotates that hand are plates going to fall off while looking lifting ?
Dangerous to use...time will tell. I haven't fully tested them out enough. I want to spend several months doing that. As for the potential of the weights falling off...that shouldn't happen as once the dumbbell is removed from the base, the handle cannot be turned. The weight can only be adjusted when placed back within the base. Hope that makes sense?

@@Sean-if7rp Nothing to report sorry. Haven't consistently used them due to my current training program involving mostly Barbell work. But they're still working well. The ease of changing the weights is fantastic. Just so easy and fast!

Yip you need to be precise when placing the Dumbbells back in the rack.
How do you like them?

Nuobells go to 80lbs, this is a knock off.
Wrong. Nuobell go up to 32kg (70.4 lbs) only! Where I purchased my Adjustable Dumbbells from, the company also sells a similar kind of dumbbell, but one that goes up to 40kg (88 lbs). Just for the record.
The nuobells sold in the US go to 80 lbs
