I was introduced to AWOL by a dude in a boat. I was night fishing on a lake and I started hearing this song in the distance, just kept getting louder and louder as this badass party barge just slowly came out of the darkness and passed by blaring this song, it was fucking amazing.
That would be epic.
I was introduced to them by The Redbull commercial😂
Best song ever
Love this song
I haven't listened to this song 10 years 😊

This song welcomed in the 2010s
2022 still hits great!!!!

SAIL
WHY IS THIS THE EXACT SAME ENVIRONMENT I IMAGINED WHEN I WAS LISTENING TO THIS SONG
I heard this song back in 2013 because this was one of the soundtracks in the movie 'Disconnect' which was one of my favorites up to now. This song is a masterpiece.
Phavpentq listened to this song since like 4 years
Reflection 🪞
11 years later and still my favorite song
I remember first hearing this with my dad and him showing me some video where a guy is on a flying ship and releases his pet dragon or something. Idk why but that stuck with me. Honestly one of the few good memories i have with him
Because he wasn't the "hanging out" sort?
@@Selrisitai well that and he was violent as fuck and expected you to know how to do everything on the first try and if you couldn't get it at first then there was no hope for you.
Also alcoholism and the fact that he would throw insults around and would pick fights with us if we were simply existing too hard.
Got yelled at and eventually had enough so i said "whatever man. I don't care" and he grabbed me by the face and squeezed the joints between the jaw and actual skull forcing them open while lifting me up to his height so he could yelled "you don't fucking tell me whatever" right into my ear before throwing me into a wall
He tried his best as a father but it wasn't enough. There's a reason my older siblings were gone at that point in my life. Just couldn't take it anymore.
That might be why he started trying to be nice later on.
Won't say his name or where we're from for obvious reasons. But the song still sticks out
12 years ago, this song has been a banger since I was 11 💪🏽🇦🇺

Ten years and still feels fresh, this is how good music should be

Haven't listened to this song in 9 years and never thought to revisit it. Used to play this on repeat summer of 2012 while sneaking my kindle fire I saved up for to play minecraft during those warm nights. Still young but time really flies.
You're probably still older than me and I've still been listening for a long time 😅
your so right
Gods it's so strange that so much yet so little time has passed. Around 2013 when I got my first taste of this song I was just starting my time on the internet (The internet that was dominated by Minecraft music videos, let's plays, etc.) Almost a decade later and almost everything has changed, but this song and all the all videos bring me back.
sneaking the kindle fire and ds at night was peak of my life
mannn those were the days
10 years later, still one of the greatest songs i have ever heard.
It will always be an amazing song.
You quit listening to music for 10 years?
very true
@@hiiibye270 Liiiikkkkkkkkkkj in, nmúî out ijíllolœ and
I totally agree.
I got totally numbed to this song because of marching band, but after not hearing it for two years, I remembered that it's actually a bop, especially when not played in double time for some reason.
Me with color guard
Me with seven nation army.
Damn, this song has helped clear out water from my speakers for 10 years now
Proper art is timeless.
How did water get in your speakers that often??
@@SelrisitaiFunctional performance
Also can be used to clean my old speaker Harman Kardon Soundstcik III. I put tissue paper (used toilet tissue roll) on it and the song just let my speaker sucked the tissue paper inside the hole.
My ancestors would’ve enjoyed this song as well 🔥
😂😂🎉
Even just the left speaker on its own in the intro is spectacular, made me realize how brilliant this song really is. And I’m not even a huge fan of these dudes.
12 years ago now. This came out when I was working on my dissertation for my doctorate. I used to listen to this over and over and over again when I was struggling the most. Those were some difficult, sometimes very dark days. This song resonated. It is a powerful song.
Yup keep goin bro
10 years later still sounds amazing
Yup!

Listening to all the music that I remember from high school now as a 29yr old who feels like he blinked and a decade went by. Nostalgia is a bitch.
Im also 29 you took the words right outta my mouth
I was a sophomore in highschool when this came out, crazy how time flies, and remembering everyone who pass away
just turned 30, its becoming worse
It'll be 50 before you know it.
Same here. Same age. When I was 19 to now at 29 feels like a blur.
Time sure went fast while sitting on computer playing games, i'm soon 28 and still figuring out what to do with my life. Kinda sad.
I'm 65... still trying to figure that sh!t out - ask yourself two questions: What am I good at, What do I like doing. Answer them honestly and get yourself a job doing that.
When this song came out I was cutting meat. Today, revisiting this song, I am still cutting meat.
That, my friend, is sad.
Noone told you when to run
You missed the starting gun😁
@@ernesttarver2533 hanging on in quiet, desperation is the English way!

Who's here wt 2024 july?
WTF! I just discovered this and it came out 10 years ago.
Now, I'm bumping this like it just came out yesterday. Since I have no memories associated with this song. How about I make some new ones!
Same here brotha! It’s my life soundtrack now. Love it.
You’ve never seen a cat meme ever?
a year later... what memory has become associated with it.... or who rather?
@madclowntapia Drives after work, Thanksgiving, gym workout, backyard BBQ, and plenty of night drives.
@@lazzurusbell9984 Just saw your comment. Still playing strong.
Hope everyone here is doing okay these days. Please be safe and know that people care about you, even if it may not feel like it at times. If you are feeling troubled, maybe professional help is the answer, or talking to a trusted friend about what you are going through. Wish you the best.
Nobody cares about me, i realize that now. Even if i go out of my way to give compassion to a thieving, lying, entitled mofo who i mistakenly thought was a nice guy, i found out later than he was an entitled pos and i had to run for my life & let God handle him cuz he had no love or respect for me & thats why i believe there is no such thing as 'love' anymore. Its all about sex, money & survival of the scamming thieves & liars. I let go & let God. Im done
@@anndavis2920it saddens me to read that and I hope you know there's still good people out there.

you know it's fire when we come back 10 years later. 11th anniversary in 3 weeks
My cousin is just about to pass away from a horrible motorcycle accident and this was his FAVORITE song. When I heard the news, all I could think of is this one time we were playing a family softball game and for his walk up song he said to play this song and ended up walking up to home plate as if he was Bath Ruth pointing to the outfield like he was call his shot. I love you David!

10 years later, still a epic song.
What other songs can you recommend. Any band that has similar energy to it?
Those lyrics hit so hard .
So right
I heard the song in a netflix serie called “longmire” and i searched till i found the artist and i fall in love with this song and inhave it as a ringtone
Still one of the best songs from the 2010's era. I like this song so much. I always say: Why "Run" when you can "Sail"? Because the song "Run" doesn't stick on me like this one does.

Almost 71 here and love this song. It was used in a Longmire episode, evil social worker taking Native children from their families, and I searched for it to listen to. Finally, found it and it is a favorite!
That's what i thought of too!, The Longmire episode- perfect usage.
I’m still rockin’ this one.
I love this song passionately... music, sound, beat, lyrics, voices... it's flawless. I wish it was longer with more lyrics
That’s what she said
I just play it over again.

Omg my mom used to play this on her ipod (i know, IPOD, where did the time ago?) when I was little, so this song was pretty much my childhood.
