I was there that night, and I have my ticket to see them again at Terminal 5 in nyc. I would much rather see them at Webster Hall again, but w/e, its still Justice.
I believe the countdowns are a sample from Jane Fonda in her workout days....Thomas Bangalter or Bob Sinclair, can't remember who lifted it, but its from like 10 years ago (when Bob Sinclair was still remotely underground)
@sirhill77 but the thing is ppl are always comparing those two xD why not other french artists then if they are only comparing because both are french haha
@wasteconnectionsdude sorry but i might not have listened to Justice as much as Daft Punk, but yet i think both are epic. It's like comparing a guitarist to another guitarist. You can't really say one is better than the other, just one having a different style that one person may like more than the other :)
@penquinftw As I said, my image of mainstream is probably not the same as yours. I said before what I thought was "the meaning of" mainstream. Especially in a society like today where it's so easy to become big in the music industry. So in my terms, being big and having a couple of songs played on the radio is not mainstream. The biggest issue I have with my view of mainstream, is the easy massproducing.
@penquinftw Yes, we all have different definition of things don't we? The definition of "freedom" and "love"? Why can't I have a different definition of other words like mainstream and such?
why do ppl compare daft punk and justice????? two different kinds of sounds and styles @_@ the only thing that is similar is that they are both from paris and do house (which is a broad name) music. and a few years both under ed banger records they are both awesome in their own ways
In fact i've seen them live and they did play keyboards and they, just like daft punk, made a very intresting way to mix their own songs (With Ableton Live n stuff). But they don't just "Press Play". In electronic music is veeery hard to have a "Band" playing live cos most of the songs have, i don't know, more than 15 different instruments and some of them are just played for like... i don't know, 3 seconds? sry but i think u r beeing prejudiced cos those "machines" do nothing with out a human
You think that justice aren't talented dj's/preformers? And please elaborate on that last sentance, because i habve literally no idea what you are talking about.
@SmokedTwinkie but the mainstream britain folks voted justice on place 98 and the lowest dj's on earth, david guettar, tiesto and van buuren on place 1, 2 & 3 - just lough about it pleas, i do to :D
Because 5-6 people writing a song is more difficult than 1-2 people composing a track? It's all about context... it's one thing to watch a mediocre 4 piece rock band in some bar, it's different to be somewhere like this on MDMA dancing under the lights
this gig made me laugh so much!!!!! XD They went from something hard like "we are your friends" to something soft like "why can't we be friends"! Nd then gaspard headbanging to it made it the more funnier!
Because, it doesnt matter what theyre doing, its knowing that you were there! and you get the honor to see them live!!! Its still amazing music. And raves are a great place to meet chicks lol
these are mixing the music on the spot alot of the time. the skill is still there. i understand that playing instruments live can be challenging but don't put these guys down. anyway, the musics great and they bring something different in their live performances, it isnt just them sticking on a cd or anything!
well they do more that turning the volume on and off Xavier syncs the sounds from his headphones to the music that is played and uses a lot of loops and tempo changes and uses some effects while gaspard entertains and energizes the crowd
I wouldn't say a band is mainstream just because they're becoming famous. When I think of mainstream I think of artists / bands that massproduces their music. Often not even writing / making it. Releases single after single. And every freaking song of them is being played every halfhour on the radio. Justice doesn't fill a single of those criterias. But maybe my image of mainstream is wrong.
@penquinftw anti-corporate and anti-mainstream? Im sorry but I partly listen to mainstream music and im going to a business college. Don't judge someone you don't know. Yeah they're a well known group. But I still believe the word "mainstream" has changed. Im sorry that I don't appreciate massproduced music that's not written by the artist as much as I like other music. I even said that my image of the word may be wrong and that's just the way I and a minority see it.
which song starts at the beginning with 1, 2, 3,4, 5 6, 7, 8, and one?? then after we are your friends, what comes after that with the weird sounds then why can't we be friends?? Just basically, what are all of the songs or sounds tapes used in this??
Can someone please explain to me what they're doing? To me it just looks like their turning the volume on and off... I love Justice, but I just don't get how live shows work for artists like this.
@ChemicalBrother92 who gives a fuck if its mainstream. good music is good music. and if you don’t say Justice is one of the more “mainstream” french house artists, you’re wrong.
@ChemicalBrother92 justice is mainstream. theyre played on mtv, i think people need to get over the fact that they don twant to listen to mainstream...fuck it. everything is mainsram dude
lol i like the two chicks dancing in the back making out hahaha thats the french for ya! they are fucked up but they made some bad ass music!! :D credits is due here
I actually have a few different tracks in my collection with that sample in it. Unfortunately I can't find the one that I have actually mixed with in the past. It was a track I bought from beatport probably close to 2 years ago.
Why can't we be friends?
We Are Your Friends!
that cigarette he lights was mine. i was tossing them like they were roses for an encore
Just casually having a cig while spinning... what a man.
and Justice for all...:)
One of these days Xavier is going to look over at Gaspard and realize he's not actually doing anything...
He's the brain behind the keyboard
Mam ciaryy!!!
3:55 Forgot to loop the crowd.
4:00 the crowd messed up that one...
BTCRAIL101FILMS Can't blame them though, they couldn't have expected that
@yiazmat35 Together only made 2 songs throughout the time they were together. So Much Love To Give & Together only.
Rockness baby!!
I was there that night, and I have my ticket to see them again at Terminal 5 in nyc. I would much rather see them at Webster Hall again, but w/e, its still Justice.
He doesnt need to do a thing, he is Epic.

Why Cant Be Friends?
OMG I DIDN'T SEE A SINGLE VIDEO WHERE GASPARD IS DOING SOMETHING.
No, it's thomas bangalter from daft punk. Bob sinclar stole it.
Because 5-6 people writing a song is more difficult than 1-2 people composing a track? It's all about context... it's one thing to watch a mediocre 4 piece rock band in some bar, it's different to be somewhere like this on MDMA dancing under the lights
are you being serious?
song name @ 5:12 ?
they dont just press play, they remix the song live, hence why it sounds different from the original.
Original better
trop bon !
this gig made me laugh so much!!!!! XD They went from something hard like "we are your friends" to something soft like "why can't we be friends"! Nd then gaspard headbanging to it made it the more funnier!
Nah he just feeling that nasty baseline on WCWBF
Gotta love the Jane Fonda "2 3 4 5 6 7 8 & back" loop, ha
It’s bob sinclar’s gym tonic
@@MrCountPunk technically Thomas Bangalter's gym tonic
2:23 looks like even Xavier and Gaspard didn't exactly know when the beat will drop :D
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and Back!!!!!!! Viva la Ed Banger!!
Xavier is a DJ,Gaspard is a Producer!
I wish this was a mix I could download or stream in better quality but this gives me chills.
The first track isnt "Gym Tonic" from Thomas Bangalter ( Daft Punk ) ?
Oh well.. Daft Punk and Justice still rock my world !
back 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 back 2 3.....
boop boop boop boop
what the song name?
@@Baztation Bob Sinclar - Gym Tonic
He's like the music tech, makes sure everythign sounds the way it's supposed to. Xavier de Rosnay does more of the mixing and effects.
Because, it doesnt matter what theyre doing, its knowing that you were there! and you get the honor to see them live!!! Its still amazing music. And raves are a great place to meet chicks lol
1:31 then everybody knows

I am in the front row... and I loved this concert... the disco ball was amazing
well they do more that turning the volume on and off Xavier syncs the sounds from his headphones to the music that is played and uses a lot of loops and tempo changes and uses some effects while gaspard entertains and energizes the crowd
That crowd fail actually sounded kinda cool.

I had chills too stylish the French brothers in arms !!
@ChemicalBrother92 It's okay... We are your friends.
Can't get enough of this a decade later
@ChemicalBrother92 cause justice isnt mainstream...? lmfao
Car vous etes mes potes, nous ne jamais serons solitaire encore !

Most electronic producers do live mixes. They take two or more of their songs and mix them together.
@felipescalador DOn't know man, maybe you can ask the2k people in that room, they seemed quite...happy about it.
First song : Bob Sinclar - Gym tonic
watch?v=65QYAS9O4os&hd=1
(Bob sinclar made this with Thomas bangalter)
Interesting. It looks to me like one guy does all the work and the other guy waves his arms.
Sounds like Daft Punk !
Justice = Daft Punk ?
Justice sounds like Justice.
they sound nothing alike
Heck no Justice Is nothing like daft two different composers? two Kick ass arists.
Justice managed by the old daft punk manager? French House? Illuminati confirmed!
Better:
Justice = Justice,
Daft Punk = Daft Punk.
