We talk about travel to and from Fuerteventura, how busy it is, the current vibe and tell some stories about what's been going on recently in our lives. We also talk about how the mask rules have been dropped in Spain and go into a shop to how you that it's true!

Totally understand the tourism /locals balance thing which makes corralejo so special for us and hope they dont overdo or sell out to mass tourism although its hard as so many rely on it.Good to see you guys still enjoying life there whilst making a living.

Your absolutely right, people won't come in the masses, until the restrictions are dropped, as it costs a lot extra, just for pcr tests.

Looking good as always. We are in lanzarote PDC for a week, but coming over to corralejo tomorrow for the day. Will defo be having a coffee or two at that's amore. My favourite coffee place 😁😁

Rachel and I are visiting on the 28th May... We've been dozens of times (only once to each of Caleta de Fuste & El Cotillo) before we discovered and loved Corralejo... Bars, music, restaurants and for me, Beachcombing 😀 Stuart PS Keep up the good work, guys 👍

Another good one, we only dropped the mask wearing in Scotland the other week, still adjusting wearing them still, when you feeling ill at ease in some places. Not been to PDC, but looking at the vlogs it can look a bit tacky, in saying that if your on a break,you adjust and blend in,anyway thanks for keeping us all updated, as other vloggers have fell off the radar. 😎

My last holiday was to Madrid and Lisbon absolutely loved the fado music such a good atmosphere with everyone smoking. 😉 In fact my next holiday is to corralejo will be fishing for the stingrays.

@@NomadBrothersTravel what a place Lisbon is the trams the bars the view of the bridge was amazing.
I first went to the Canaries in 1997 staying at Puerto del Carmen in villas and some hotels and usually did two trips a year. Puerto del Carmen old town is where I stayed most. It was by chance I took the ferry from Playa Blanca to Corralejo in 2000 and hired a car to discover Fuerteventura. I remember most of the roads were really bad lots of gravel roads and Corralejo was not developed at all apart from Riu hotels by the Dunes.
In 2003 I took regular holidays to Fuerteventura going about once or twice a year before Covid started. I just loved the island more so than Lanzarote. Puerto del Carmen changed for the worst, too many bars, even pole dancing bars, for me that was it, I have never been back apart from a day visit via the ferry from Corralejo.
For me Lanzarote has changed for the worst. The only place I would possibly stay would be Plays Blanca. So I agree with you guys, Fuerteventura is far more relaxed, beautiful quiet beaches, and more of that Spanish feel.

Lovely to see our favourite town again 😀. Agree with everything you said 😊 Don't be afraid to express your opinion as everyone is entitled to their's. Fuerteventura is a gem and our happy place 💖. I'm glad someone mentioned the palm trees 🌴 what have they done to them 🤦♀️😱. Also I didn't notice the tatty flags at burgerking have they finally taken them down . You both do a brilliant job keeping us up to date keep up the good work 🥰

Have you noticed how the have over pruned the trees on the main street?
Yes, it’s a shame, makes it look quite bare really doesn’t it!
I don't think it is an over prune but a pollard to keep the trees at a certain size otherwise they could get too big

Haha, your commentary is so funny :p We went to Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote this year as well and came away with the exact same impression! So built up and commercial feeling - we felt so excited on the ferry to be heading back to FV

I love Lanzarote but could not stay in Peurta del Carmen. I find it’s too crowded and not keen on McDonald’s etc. usually stay Costa Tequise. 2nd choice is Fuertaventura.

Hey guys, how easy is it to travel to other islands from corralejo? I was hoping to go to playa blanca and Gran Canaria, if they do some kind of excursions? 🙂
Yeah you can easily take a boat to playa blanca for a day trip.. Gran Canaria would be harder but you can fly locally with binter airlines 👍🏻

Interesting the difference between tourist areas like Corralejo and in mainly locals only areas in other towns. The shops have signs up asking you to wear masks and use gel, the staff all wear masks and people without masks in shops are really frowned upon and made to feel uncomfotable without them.
Sorry you’ve felt like this, personally i haven’t used a mask in any of the shops here in Corralejo since the rule was dropped and don’t feel frowned upon. Maybe it’s something that will take getting used to. Thanks for watching 😊
@@NomadBrothersTravel I wasn't saying how I felt, just how things are and how local people feel where I live. I suppose it is because most of them have elderly or vulnerable relatives here and they feel some sort of sense of duty to try to protect them. You also still see quite a few people using them in the street, again I suppose because they feel a sense of responsibility towards others.

Can u make a video on the passport issue date not the expired date people are getting confused with the expired date , it’s the issue date you need to look at x

When the rest of the world opens up I am not so sure about that Fuerteventura will be that crowded.. I've been to Fuerteventura many times, especially now under the pandemic.. but in the last year.. the prices have gone up substantially and it's not really worth it when all the other places are open for travel..
Interesting, I do think Fuerteventura is a relatively cheap place to holiday once you’re here and slightly higher prices on travel can be justified with some of the best beaches in Europe in my opinion 😊
Hmm have to disagree myself, corralejo main street disappointed me tbh, it could be a high street in any resort tbh. No sea view, terrible parking. Same shops, same vape shops, same ice cream shops etc.
Found corralejo to be a very couples place and not a lot else, PDC as you say is touristy, but as to be expected, its in the canary Islands! I know you guys love it there, but a week was enough.
Completely understand where you’re coming from Andy! I also think Corralejo Main Street isn’t the best, infact it could be massively improved but the general vibe of the town and the island is what gets me! Thanks for watching as always 😊

I’ve been watching your videos and really love them but just wondered how you get on with visas and how difficult it is post brexit? I’m also from the UK and am wanting to move to somewhere in Europe with my Polish girlfriend, we absolutely loved Fuerteventura
Hey Jacob, Harry and I here living and working here before Brexit took place therefore we have Spanish residency and the post Brexit rules don’t affect us. Unfortunately it is much harder to move to the EU now. Your best bet is to ask the guys at strongertogetherfuerteventura@gmail.com and they can help you!
