I think the insult was completely uncalled for. And they claim Finn was a hero, a man's man, the leader and all that. He was clearly flawed, had no direction with his life and depended too much on the strong personality of his girlfriends. And to top it all, when he finally found a calling, by going to college to become a teacher, he ditched that just because Mr. Schuester asked him to come save the glee club, yet again. If anything, he could've just told her she didn't need all that make up, because she was beautiful already.
Am I the only who remembers that she deliberately made a move on a guy who already had a girlfriend? And before anyone accuses me of bashing Rachel just note I'm equally annoyed with Finn for trying to make a move on Quinn in season 2 after they won the big game even though she was with Sam at the time - he admitted to it when he thought to himself that maybe it never worked out with him and Rachel because he wasn't over Quinn.
