A friend of mine bought a beautiful purple colored Furch guitar at least 25 years ago. It was such a comfortable instrument to play. I have to give him a call one of these days. I want to play it again after all these years.

I have the Furch Yellow Master's Choice Gc-CR which is very similar and it is an amazing guitar!!
And I agree the dynamic range of the guitar is incredible as well as the overall resonant quality!
While they are not inexpensive, they are absolutely worth more than twice as much as they cost!
I don't believe you can even come close to a guitar of this quality in its price range

Sounds a bit like a 000 or OM. An all rounder instrument. Lovely.
Lovely. Are you sure the to isn't Sitka? The cedar is a bit darker in color. I have the Sitka and it looks exactly like this while the Cedar one I saw had a darker top.

The CR in the model number stands for Grand Auditorium CUTAWAY. Not concert.
You were close! The GC (not CR) stands for Grand Auditorium cutaway. The CR stands for Cedar/Rosewood.
