One of the most legendary preformances in the history of Emo music. Just look at the way the crowd is so tuned into the song, singing all the lyrics.

This is so awesome - especially the sing-a-long at the end. Kids growing up in the early 2000s were really the last generation that got to enjoy the simplicity of life - we weren't glued to our cell phones, no political division, etc. I'm so thankful I grew up in this era.

When my friends and I first heard this song when it came out, we thought the bottle of Beast line was funny cause we had only seen and experienced it in can form. Im not even sure Ive ever seen a bottle of it. Then we found it funny years later when we saw on the internet people were attributing some profound meaning to the line "bottle of Beast." We were "dude.. he is talking about Milwaukee's Best."

Does anyone know where the entire set from the BOTH the original ‘95 and 2.0 MTV Unplugged sets are on TH-cam? I only found the 2002 one (with a thumbnail photo for the video from the ‘95 set where the lead singer, Chris Carraba has hair when he had no hair in the actual video from the 2.0 set 🙄 - guess the person that posted that video didn’t know the difference lol). I also can’t seem to find a streaming platform with both MTV sets. If anyone has info, please share! Ty!

Most fans like how the crowd sings like a chior in this unplugged set. Which is fine in of itself, if the singer also sings along the whole time. However, I always hate it when singers just stop singing altogether to let the crowd sing for them. Especially when the singer stays mute during the high/difficult notes like he did in his song. I didn't pay $50+ per ticket to hear a bunch of random non-professional-musicians sing in unison. I would never pay to hear karaoke. When the singer refuses to sing along with the crowd, it's basically karaoke. It's especially lame when the singer doesn't sing the high notes themselves. 😑
