There is historical evidence that Charles vane was captured by the British and brought to port royal. In where he was sentenced for his crimes of piracy. On March 21,1721....Charles vane was executed by the British of port royal by hanging. He will forever and ever go down in history that day as one of the most famous pirates of all time.
Jack was awesome to love/hate. He was always such a weasel of a character, but the actor did an amazing job at portraying him. Great show! Thanks for the run.
Only issue is with the Blackbeard/Flint duel. Gotta remember that Flint had recently come back from near starvation after the becalming and was still recovering. Otherwise I think the duel would've been much more even.
Excellent list, my good man. I have to add that i loved every scene with that burly giant of a man - Blackbeard. Ray Stevenson is an absolute legend and he commanded all attention with every second of screen time. It is a shame he could not be around for at least 2 seasons. Such an amazing actor and one that seems to favor historic pieces. The battle at he maroon's island was my fav action scene and the tavern scene with John Silver is my fav drama scene. Great show!
Well, the hunting mission is about to survive for sure, but the biggest point is that flint started there to see silver as equal. that is what its about and what makes it to my fav scene, the dialoge is just great
I agree, when he tells him he stole the gold on the way to the whale, is my favorite part of the whole season, I think it is an absolutely beautiful dialogued scene
I have to agree with you on number one. That scene did what most shows can't do in their entirety: It made a hard, but realistic and dramatically valuable choice and stuck to it's guns. I was sad and horrified watching Vane die, but even more so I was impressed by the brilliance of the scene. My personal favorite moment though, would have to be Blackbeard coming to Vane's rescue and that fight scene in particular.
flint was not fighting for a pardon, he specifically said he would never accept one as it would be as if he were admitting he was wrong and england was right.
This was great, I think the only thing I would have added was the first scene right at the beginning of the season where Blackbeard took out the three brothers. That was an epic scene :) Great video though!
Nice list! So many great moments in the series, hard to pick just a few. I noticed two missing from your list that were a couple of my favorite. The sacking of Charlestown (rescuing Flint) and when the pirates take back Nassau. Both were totally epic scenes.
"'You people, incapable of accepting the world as it is', says the man to whom the world handed everything. If no Anne, if no rescue, if this is defeat for me, then know this - You and I were neck and neck in this race right 'til the end. But, Jesus, did I make up a lot of ground to catch you!" The precise moment Rackham became my favorite character.
Some good moments here but for me my favourite has gotta be the ending of season 3. Flint & Silvers final conversation in the episode, The formation of the pirate republic and the creation of Long John Silver. That scene gave me such chills when I watched it and felt it was the absolute perfect note to end the season on. Also having the scene end on Max was a nice touch given how it plays a similar beat to the ending of season 2 albeit far more ominous this time round
Sad when Vane died. Loved how loyal Blackbeard was. Charles betrayed him more than once but Blackbeard still saw him for who he was, a friend with strong beliefs.
ok, now I am jonesing, I am 61 and I want next year to get here sooner! Is a true addiction...or blessing, ever wonder how sometimes is difficult to tell the difference?
How Vane died! One of the BEST death scenes for a character, not just in this show. People who complain about his death should not read/watch real stories, go back to Disney movies. Grow the fuck up and think deeper!
What sucked about season 3 is they let a whore and a swag seller all of a sudden become military tacticians and psychologist against seasoned battle tested pirates some have been trained by a ex naval officer (Flint). Why would they even write that into the script? Max's voice turns my stomach and her part is too pretentious(over acting) and too unreal so was eleanor's part.
How can you lost interest?! Cmon, that story is just amazing! He died, yes, but can't you see a bigger picture! All die in the end! Thing he did, not many can reach that! Fucking amazing story! Not a kids story where all live happily ever after.
Haha, I agree with you. Vane was also one of my favourites, maybe my favourite, and I miss him but I love every other character on this show too. So there's no way I'd ever stop watching!
Interesting that all of his favorite scenes involve the male characters in the series. With a show that features such amazing female roles it's sad that too many male viewers can only relate to the men!!
My favorite part was with Anne Bonny swimming to the Orion, taking control and saying, "Get to the stern chasers,...Fire!" Spectacular! Anne and Charles Vane are my favorite characters. Her courage and resourcefulness when fighting the monster after they are captured is one of the best moments in the series. Absolutely LOVE her!
not going to lie I kind of teared up when Charles vane died
We all did
I sure did
I couldn’t believe it!! Such a great character!!

Me too.

Who would hate him ?
@@TehAntares Agree
Yeah his ass was a fuckin weasel... but he had his moments where he was pretty stand up
jacks been the most loyal wtf you talking about

Still, he managed to shot and wound Teach on his head (that could be pure luck), shifting balance more towards Flint.
Doubt that. The outcome was always that

loved the commentary mate! good quality video well done.
Much appreciated! Cheers :)
Show the actual scenes you're discussing next time
Without a doubt Silvers development this season had amazing scenes. Anne Bonny in season finale was cool af
a month for next season, this was exactly what i was searching on youtube, good job guys!!!
Miranda Barlow’s speech to Flint in his dehydration hallucinations teared me up
Under estimation is a wonderful gift. Best damn line in the series, and a great bit of wisdom.
Death of Charles Vane one of the stand out moments in all TV
"'You people, incapable of accepting the world as it is', says the man to whom the world handed everything. I think the Long John Silver bit was the best part of the season. We knew that the show is a prequel to Treasure Island.
"To be underestimated is an incredible gift is one of my fav sequences in entire show!!!! and also, kinda a life moto for me: Jack beats it up
damn that sounds pathetic
Black sails best show ever? possibly
Definitely
No especially max being in power
Black sails , Vikings , sons of anarchy, sopranos .
@@Ravishrex1 the wire, deadwood, true Detective... STARZ playin' catch up
Unrealistic amount of cursing considering the era that this show is set in. It ruins the immersion.
That was actually captain vane that made the plan with the burning ship
I enjoyed your stuff and the videos. Thank you for the effort.
+flydye45 Cheers!
What's that song that plays right after Vane nods his head at Billy? That's a beautiful song
Wish the show didn’t end with 4 seasons but am glad it had an ending and wasn’t cancelled like other shows
Annnnd I know what I will be watching for the rest of the day.

Where the fuck is "full compliment, take aim.. at whatever's left" or somewhere around there.
Does anyone know what is the name of the song that starts at 10:59? Imo one of the best tracks from the sow
In the Black Sails OST, I believe it is Vane's Visions.
Sad when Vane died. Loved how loyal Blackbeard was. Charles betrayed him more than once but Blackbeard still saw him for who he was, a friend with strong beliefs.
Stopped at No#1 ...upsets, annoys and frustrates me too much to see Vane go...
Nice list fella....
When Charles Vane and many died for the cause then in the end they abandon it.
Damn I hate the ending
how does this not have more views?
That was the same shark used in the Perfect Storm. I guarantee it
rogers told them to lift the anchor

Could you make a clip with just HM#4?! that's my favorite scene. would love to hear the whole speech.

No.1 for me- Until then I remain...Long John Silver
the "island of nassau" as you say is called new providence island, nassau is just a town on said island
when the video is approaching number 1...
Me:"Get on with it motherfucker..."
Sitting here waiting for black sails and vikings to come back on. I need a new show. Any suggestions?
Da Vinci's Demons from Starz is a great show. Other than that you can't go wrong with Hannibal or Person of Interest!
One of the best shows on t.v.
#9 hey look! A guy walked off! Such youtube worthy moments!
You have a thick accent. Where is that dialect from?
I love this show
I watched this on prime when It was free, amd wanted to go back and rewatch it, amd Amazon had started charging for it because it got popular 🙄
I was present at a;l those scences
someone please give a reason why sam stayed alive
Could you use any shorter clips?
Superb series
Vane, the macho

Who is the whore and the swag?
I thought it was the perfect ending to the scene. The whole episode was spectacular.
Island of "What"?
I think your list is right.
man this guy sounds like thoughty 2.
Very wel
La mejor serie que he visto

Irene Cara shut up. Why should a guy feel the need or want to relate to the women characters? People like you ruin this planet. Take a day off
Irene Cara it’s called personal preference....this might shock you but it’s still one of the few things us men are allowed to have!!
